Description: It is a family style taverna locatred off the old harbour back left side of the Venetian Armory. Outside patio is shaded by large trees giving it a wonderful atmosphere. Live music performed by authenic Cretan muscians every evening. Patronized by many locals which is a testimony to its quality and value. We travel quite a bit and enjoy good food and service at a good value.

I realy enjoy that tavern, this summer and end up eating there a lot of nights, the food is pretty good but the atmosphere, value and time to be served is what makes that tevern perfect for me, and they have the Best "Staka" I have ever tasted, and everyone there is so friendly. I highly recommend it

Instead of eating at one of the busy and pricey harbour options, walk a block inland to this family run restaurant in a quiet setting. We enjoyed a reasonably priced, simple lunch of Greek salad, sausages and garlic bread, in a very relaxing setting.

The restaurant may be a little bit hidden in the streets of the harbour, but the search will pay off. In a kind of tiny square you'll find very good food there, namely the grilled octopus -- which, by the way, you'll find on the opposite side od the small square put to dry. The fact that bees and wasps... More

We liked the food which was typical Crete with Tzatziki, Greek salad and other Cretan dishes. Very positive: instead of the sweet desert you often get for free together with the bill they offered water melon - hmmm. The place is much more peaceful being a little in the back of the fisher harbor and on the foot of Kastelli... More

We had moored stern-to on the Old Harbour wall outside the Great Arsenal and it was all of one minutes stroll to this restaurant. With 25C + temperature we sat outside. The service was leisurely and pleasant. The food was good if unimaginative. After mixed starters, three had lamb from the barbecue and one had pork. We drank red wine... More

Set back a bit off the waterfront, in the Venetian Harbor area, next to the Old Arsenal, this restaurant was a quiet alternative on a busy Sunday. The service was excellent and friendly. Grilled sardines, octopus salad and the baked artichoke hearts accompanied by a local rose wine and homemade dark bread proved to be a very good lunch combination.... More

Wifey and I were trawling all around Chania, thirst got the better of us. Wifey had a small Greek coffee, and I had a 33cl bottle of Fix. Blow me down, the bill came to 5.80 Euro's! Haven't been there again.

We were recommended this restaurant by chance. Actually we looked for another Italian restaurant but then met the local who brought us to this one. He mentioned that he usually lets the chef offer him whatever best for the day. Fresh calamari cook in juicy way. Beat any fish tavern in Hania. We got fresh sea bass grill that taste... More
