Great food with local specialites. More specialised on meat, but also the salad was rich and the wine great. Nice atmosphere, fire place, close to the harbour. Not on the very front of the harbour, you may miss it. We visited it after been reccomended by a local.

Food is excellent. Parking near bye. Sit up stairs for cozy private seating by the kitchen. I believe they are only open during the winter months, they definitely are more of a local hangout than for tourists.

Located behind the port and not filled with tourists, we enjoyed an order of lamb and another of goat with potatoes. Great salad, delicious bread, good house wine; actually it's pretty hard to be out of luck with whatever you order. Service is simply impeccable. Prices are reasonable. Free raki and fruit at the end of your meal. This is... More

I really enjoy lunch there and confirm the reviews. The price was very good. The only bad there was the view.

The restaurant was located close to the apartment we rented in old town. Loved the fact that it was located behind the old port and away from all the tourists. It's where all the locals go to eat. Excellent traditional food with fresh ingredients. Large portions with reasonable prices. A great find.

Good traditional Cretan food, impeccable service and a free mini-carafe of raki at the end. As vegetarians we found the menu slightly restricted, but not so much that we felt we had to look elsewhere. Note that a dessert course doesn't appear to be part of the Cretan tradition - you just get a plate of syrupy little spongy things... More

You need to visit this restaurant if you want to taste traditional Cretan recipies. People working there are polite and it seems that locals prefer to eat here too. We have visited the restaurant during November and reservation was necessary.

Great service, excellent food, local feel. Do try the Cretan salad, which is very fresh anytime of the year. Steaks are to die for, portion sizes are enormous, so be prepared! The loukoumades & raki at the end (came free of charge) are best we have had!

Extraordinary, authentic Cretan cuisine behind the old port and at the very end - This is an absolute dining must in Chania.

The hotel recommended this and what a great find. Wonderful Cretan food. Fresh food full of marvellous flavours and nuances. Very good service. The hot loukoumadhes at the end of the meal are a memory which will live with me for ever. Thankyou.
