Though my Husband and I were there this past Oct, we still think of this restaurant, and wished they had a location in Chicago. One of the best meals we had in Chania. Loved everything, the home made bread, to the dessert. It was simply fantastic. If we ever go back, and I hope we will, this restaurant will see... More

One of the best restaurants we've been to. The food was delicious, the waiters very friendly and the restaurant itself was very cozy and pleasant. Would recommend

We ate here twice. Better at lunch as with most restaurants. Chefs must get tired. Loved the roast suckling pig, which they only prepare on holidays and Sundays. Their grilled lamb chops were more ordinary though tasty. Good goat dishes; wonderful grilled Cretan sausages. Reservations might be necessary in summer, but not in winter. Avoid lamb livers unless you love... More

Packed with local families, we knew we found the right spot to have traditional Cretan cuisine. The grilled mushrooms was delicious! We were served a complimentary plate of sweets at the end of the meal - which was like a dough fritter with honey and sesame seeds. A nice touch!

All the salads are a 10; we ordered 3 different kinds and loved them all. The fried zucchini was great. The house wine is made by the bartender from the hotel where we stayed, and it's really good too. It has a brandy look and taste, but is really unique to Crete.

Great food with local specialites. More specialised on meat, but also the salad was rich and the wine great. Nice atmosphere, fire place, close to the harbour. Not on the very front of the harbour, you may miss it. We visited it after been reccomended by a local.

Food is excellent. Parking near bye. Sit up stairs for cozy private seating by the kitchen. I believe they are only open during the winter months, they definitely are more of a local hangout than for tourists.

Located behind the port and not filled with tourists, we enjoyed an order of lamb and another of goat with potatoes. Great salad, delicious bread, good house wine; actually it's pretty hard to be out of luck with whatever you order. Service is simply impeccable. Prices are reasonable. Free raki and fruit at the end of your meal. This is... More

I really enjoy lunch there and confirm the reviews. The price was very good. The only bad there was the view.

The restaurant was located close to the apartment we rented in old town. Loved the fact that it was located behind the old port and away from all the tourists. It's where all the locals go to eat. Excellent traditional food with fresh ingredients. Large portions with reasonable prices. A great find.
