Very good food

We decided to try it out just because they advertising wood oven cooked food and bread. We also liked the decor. We were not disappointed. For appetisers we had Greek salad, chorta which are boiled green leaves with lemon and olive oil local sausages and feta in the oven. All the food was fresh and... read more

The bread they bring at the beginning was excellent as well as everything else we ordered. Maybe my moussaka lacked a bit of salt but other than that, we were really happy. And the dessert (which was free of charge) was even more amazing.

The restaurant was suggested by a friend Since we expected an extraordinary culinary Cretan experience , we were quiet disappointed . The food was good but it was definitely not the most delicious meal We had in Crete .... The staff was very friendly and helpful .

Nice atmosphere and authentic food. I had Apaki as a starter and Snails as a main dish. The Apaki was a bit too dry and tough. Snails with potatoes and zucchini were OK. They have quite a nice wine list. When my wife and I were there a year ago, we were much happier with the food.

Not spacious but worm. Even though we were more than 20persons we were well accommodated and served in a reasonable time. Dishes were of an average quantity and reasonable to good quality. We haven’t any significant complaint but it is not a place we will visit frequently.

Chrisostomos was recommended to us - and by guidebooks. They know they're recommended and, in our opinion, simply float along, relying on their reputation. The wait staff were uninterested and verging on unhelpful; telling me they'd sold out of the main course I wanted and suggesting an alternative (to which I agreed) but not pointing out that the alternative was... Excellent. Nice decor. Great personalised service. Large menu with many Cretan specialties. Good wine list. Better reserve.

The food is traditional Greek cuisine and it was very good. Did not feel touristic, but rather "local". The view, if you seat outside is on the parking area, perhaps not the best view ever. But it is worth a visit. The bill was very low for the amount and quality of food we had. The place can be very... More

I went to this restaurant after the good reviews on Tripadvisor but frankly I expected more. The snails were too mild and lacked on taste, the smoked pork steak was really disappointing (dry, chewy and hard), my husband took the goat and he was satisfied. Local wine wasn't cold enough, the alfresco dining is at the edge of the road... More

Situated just next to our hotel, Porto Veneziano, we decided to try it out. Bread was great, fresh from the oven. Shared fried vegetables and tzatziki which were well prepared. My partner had a chicken dish for main, quite ordinary. I asked about the grilled chicken and the sides. They were potatoes and rice. I asked for a green salad... More
