Homemade bread....yum!

Our Hotel suggested going to this restaurant on a holiday weekday. We had to put our name in and come back in an hour....It is truly a popular local spot! The bread is homemade and served warm. It was such a treat to get a steak which I hadn't been able to do at many restaurants in Chania. The... read more

Along the waterfront in the old part of Chania is Chrisostomos. The food here was superb. The nice thing is that the Greeks eat later on, and the tourists eat earlier. Don't be alarmed if it's not busy - it gets busy later. The servivce we experienced was excellent. The stuffed pork was excellent, and the meal ends with complimentary... More

Every dish, even bread, is cooked in the wooden stove. The waiters are professionals having knowledge of the food they are serving and able to give suggestions. Try the beans with apaki or the lamb. The best cretan cuisine has to offer. Warm and welcoming.

I loved this restaurant. We had a wonderful variety of tasty dishes. There was quite a wait and we almost left, but it was worth the wait!

We ate here at the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at and we were not disappointed. Everything we tried was excellent especially the bread and dishes cooked in the wood oven. Unfortunately, they had run out of some of the dishes we would have liked as we went late on a busy Sunday evening but we would gladly... More

Presents itself as an upmarket restaurant, however, is only a simple less than average taverna. Food, nothing special, and service and attitude of management unprofessional when they are busy. For some reason, many suggest it, but try it and you will experience nothing more than a usual taverna of an Athenian suburb. Saganaki fat, livers hard cooked, Greek dishes not... More

This place was behind our hotel about a block from the water (walk any direction from it in three different directions you'll find either the harbor or the bay). Everything is made is wood fired ovens and the aromas fill not only the restaurant but spill out into the streets drawing in customers like a pied piper. We gorged ourselves... More

It is a nice surpise when you can taste traditional meals, with real taste and materials from people who knows how to cook!! Although the restaurant its packed with relevant awards, theycontinue to be humble, to serve quickly, polite and most of all in reasonable prices. A jewel for Hania!! Thank you guys
