Probably authentic but a lots of locals did not gobble theirs up when we were there. A quiet vibe as well. Simple plain Cretan food with deep flavours that may not suit everyone. The cuts of meat looked 'cheap' and mine was just too tough. Snails at the other table looked very challenging. You need to be hungry. The waiters... More

Highly recommend this place - a very versatile menu and very friendly service. Surrounded by little olive trees, the traditional Greek music and colorful table cloths really make for a darling environment. Right off a side street by the main port this place should not be missed. Very reasonable prices and big portions with great service.

On a quiet corner to the east of the harbour. We had two excellent and satisfying meals here. The starters were delicious: fried vegetables- aubergines, carrots, courgettes, peppers, thinly sliced and fried in a very light batter, and stuffed courgette flowers. Try the tasty rabbit if it's on the menu, and lamb with roast potatoes and lemon sauce - actually... More

Chrisostomos is one of the very few "classical" restaurants in Chania Old Town, with an excellent, traditional, truely Cretan cuisine and extremely pleasant service. Meat is the speciality, try the rolled pork or smoked pork filet or simple lamb chops. Staka (goat mik cream) is prepared at its best; limited but very pleasant wine selection. Definitely one of the favourites... More

The hospitality and the traditional Greek cuisine will surprise you! The break is fresh and oven baked and all meals are tasty! They offered us raki (traditional drink) and loukoumades (traditional sweets with honey syrup and sesame seeds) If you visit Chania, you need to visit Chrisostomos for a nice diner!

Chrisostomos has given us the best dining experience in Chania. Slightly off the very busy stripe on the old port where the offer is more touristic, the restaurant has an inside and outside area. We tried both and they are equally enjoyable as the ambience inside is well kept and kind of typical. The food is excellent, they have a... More

This restaurant has won many awards and when you dine here, you can understand why. The service is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. Located at the far end of the port, people come here only for the food. Not sea food, but traditional Greek meat dishes. All delicious. You cannot go wrong. Definitely worth finding and recommended to... More
