Nice fish restaurant

This is a very nice fish tavern. If you want fresh fish at a reasonable price, this is your place. Location is romantic, by the sea. The only thing is that you need to get there by car or taxi. Staff is nice and service is good, not too fast, though.

Wonderful homecooked food. We wanted to eat real Greek food and this was the place. Off the beaten path. Not touristy. Everything we ordered was fantastic.

The scenery in Thalassino Ageri reminds you more of a movie scene. As sun goes down you can see the light melting in the abandonded buildings and the sea in front of them. Food is just superb and fish is so fresh you think that it just came out of the sea. Could not think of a better place to... More

Good food, good service but the location is simply amazing. Don't come here for photo menu cards and plastic chairs for the mainstream tourists, but eat at Thalassino Ageri for the off the beaten track rough old fishing harbour surroundings with small crabs running on the rocks and the smell of the sea which perfectly adds to the excellent tastes... Old wind washed chairs sitting in sand surrounded by the old, crumbling tannery buildings, the cliffs, the waves and the view of the sun setting above Chania ... it was a completely relaxed and quiet place to celebrate the arrival of spring the first day of May among locals (or only Greek-speaking guests, at least). The sea food is fresh,... More

Everything at this restaurant was lovely. The view its peaceful and unique. Their fresh fish quality and preparation its topnotch and the final result is that it comes to the table with a homemade taste. Price its fair and the best its that you dont feel like everywhere else in Chania (part of a mass tourism destination).

This restaurant is totally worth the taxi ride out of Chania, c. €5. The setting is so charming, and so typically Greek. Their olive oil is particularly delicious, and ask for some lime and salt to add for dipping bread, yum! The homemade red wine is very good too, and really works with fish. A relaxing and delicious meal.

As people have said, the setting of this restaurant is wonderful. Our table was on the beach, with the waves lapping close (but not too close!) at our feet. The restaurant is on the outskirts of chania and unless you are staying nearby, it would be best to take a taxi. At peak times and weekends it is best to... More

The setting of this fish taverna is magical, with the sea breaking over rocks on one side and a backdrop of the old tanning buildings. Doesn't sound nice, but if you like old, historic buildings and atmosphere, this place has it in spades. The menu, unsurprisingly, is fish and shellfish. Although I would expect this in a fish taverna, it... More

Even though is not located at the old town, it totally worth going. If you are going at night take a cab, you might not arrive walking. I love to cook and eat, travel most of the world. I was surprise by the fresh small shrimp fried that we had, really tasty and you can eat it all. The fresh... More
