My wife and I strode upon this restaurant as we walked the narrow alleys of old Chania town. The fact this restaurant does not really stand out from any other makes this a nice little find. It's situated at the corner of an alley which enables it to have a depth of seating that is not really interrupted by passers... More

Me and my family went to this restaurant and had a very good time. The stuff was helpful and friendly and the dishes was satisfying but a little more spicy for us.

Went here because next door no. 1 Strata was full but was not disappointed. Very friendly and authentic family run taverna. Both had sword fish which was nicely seasoned and fresh. Kids portion of pasta was generous and fresh too. The usual complimentary desserts and digestif was different from elsewhere and very nice indeed. Beautiful and peaceful setting too in... More

When we walked up to look at the menu we were greeted, but it wasn't overly aggressive. My husband decided to order a dish with goat (or maybe it was lamb). When he placed his order the owner looked a bit concerned and explained the greens it was cooked with would maybe not be liked by everyone. He still wanted... More

We stopped here for a lunchtime snack, but it's more of a restaurant, so we decided not to stay. The owner was very nice and said we could sit as long as we wanted to. The result was we went back in the evening, had a very warm welcome, attentive service and nice food. It is worth searching this one... More

The restaurant Is located in a really nice side street with grape ranks as a roof. The staff is really pleasant compared to the exceptionally annoying staff along the waterfront. The food is very nice, and they have nice local beers (microbrewery in Chania) and wine, and it's good value for your money. Worth a visit.

No need for cajoling here, the tables are full and that is because the quality of the food speaks for itself. This is a family run business, where the culinary skills have been passed down through the generations. This is Greek food at its very best. We have eaten at all three of these tavernas in this street and rate... More

We were told that this is what the name means, and it certainly was, despite being along a small lane, probably because it's not that heavily used - although at the end of some of the more pleasant backstreets of the old town southwest of the harbour. It is a little way from the harbour but miles away from being... More
