We had no reservations but could sit inside across the alley from the old hamam in the more modern addition. A lovely sea breeze was coming through the windows. Modern tableware which can be bought from a local design shop further down the street The menu has lots of options for vegetarians. We had a variety of dishes. Best dish... More

The food wasn't bad and many people enjoy that kind of food, but it was too heavy and had too many spices (eg cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg etc) for me. The service wasn't bad but nothing special and the environment is really nice.

This restaurant is situated in an old Turkish hamam. After the revolution, this place was converted in a restaurant. Half of the place was destroyed by a bomb during WWII, but the other half was made safe and you can enjoy the traditional Greek cuisine in a cool place. This is certainly one of the restaurants you should try out!

We were a bit dazed by the number of restaurants in Chania. Finally we chose Tamam. The location is amazing: it is an ancient Hamam transformed in a restaurant. The place is frendly, the menu excellent, also the service is perfect. My suggestion is have your dinner inside!

Snagged the last table outside. Lots of tourists walking by, so great people watching. This place was recommended by a friend of mine, a Greek tour guide, and I would happily go back. The service was quick and friendly. Bread (one euro) plus olives and olive oil, grilled calamari with fava (the special) and a glass of white wine from... More

Ok. 1) bad quality of food 2) indifferent service 3) overpriced It's not cretan, neither constantinopolitan, nor indian! Kaltsounia were like bought from yhe supermarket and warmed in the microwave oven, potatoes and the beef without tase. Iranian rice was good but you can find a better one. Do not waste your time here..

I loved everything. This is homemade food of high quality. It remind it me of my mother's plates. Not to miss. However it might take you a while to find table.

Located in a charming alley only a block away from the Old Harbor, Tamam has incredible food and excellent service. We recommend the baked vegetables with homemade cheese sauce and the sardines.
