With my family, we recently visited Chania. The location of this restaurant is idyllic and the food was very good. I recommend!

The food is amazing - we had Iranian Rice and the lamb in tomato sauce shared between 2 which was just great. The menu has arabic/middle eastern dishes which arent the usual fare for most restaurants, so nice to go if you have souvlaki fatigue. The old batchs (for which its named) can get a little hot and crowded when... More

I am either an easy person to please or the food in Greece is flat out delicious. We are 4 and had the mixed croquettes, avocado dip an tzatziki as appetizers. The avocado dip was good but others were outstanding. We had a mix of mains ( sardines, lamb, Greek pie, and stuffed hamburgers) all of which were delicious. Our... More

Tamam was the only restaurant that we ate at twice on our trip. The food was delicious, the service was great and we loved sitting along the old Venetian street. We followed the guide books suggestion to get the Tamam Salad and one of the lab dishes. We also had added a Cretian cheese which was wonderful. When we came... More

Environment is great, food is even better. If you stay one week in Crete, you can dine there every night.

in an alley in the old town, this Mediterranean food spot offers many options for vegetarians as well as meat/fish-eaters. The salads are wonderful and the options are just a bit different as to make it worthwhile after a couple weeks of the same Greek food. Best plan: make a reservation during the day and come back in the evening... More

I could easily say that this restaurant is one the best in Chania Town. The meals we tried were very tasty and I understand they were from fresh ingredients.

I spend my winters in and around Chania and I love Tamam and visit often. Built inside a Turkish "hamam" the restaurant keeps the original architecture to create a very unusual setting. Lots of seating outside along the trendy Zambeliou street as well. there is a small overflow restaurant across the lane too. The wait staff are brisk and efficient;... More
