Two Meals and a Lust for More

The Tamam restaurant have been recommended to us by a lot of Friends. Now was the time to check it out - and what a pleasant experience! My wife and myself had different dishes and we both agreed that this was one og the best meals we have ever had on Crete. We will return to the restaurant many times.

We ate in Tamam on our first night in Chania and returned for lunch. For dinner we sat inside the restaurant, which is set in an old baths. Very interesting setting and the food was amazing... I would recommend the meatballs and the croquettes for starters. I had lamb chops for my main course and they were the tastiest I... More

First call on my Tripadvisor Check List. Excellent Food, service and value. Because of other good reviews, it's difficult to get an outside table. But the air-conditioning inside is more than adequate for a fine meal and enjoyable evening.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel (Casa Leone, which is a great place to stay, by-the-way). We were not disappointed and it turned out to be some of the most interesting and well cooked food we had on Crete. The menu has such variety and interesting dishes that the temptation is to eat there every night ! As... More

Liked this restaurant for it's North African/Iranian influenced food which was very tasty. Found the chairs at the alley tables a bit low, but that's a quibble, as we still went back there!

Service is a bit slow, but that's probably because they are very busy. I had the goat with staka in the oven and it was really tasty (although not very healthy)

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel for our first night. It was a very short walk away and we were immediately seated inside which is on several different levels but very cozy and, so we were told, traditional. The menu includes choices we were not familiar with but we enjoyed very bit of what we ate. I had the... More
