Restaurant in the old town of Chania, Crete. Nicely furnished and decorated, polite and discrete stuff, excellent menu, tasteful food! Visit it!

This place was recommended by the hotel front desk. I found it tucked back from the harbor and I was so excited to try it. I got a traditional Greek salad with Cretan soft cheese, and a local dish with beef and puréed eggplant. I ate all of it! I loved the salad, so fresh and delicious. And I inhaled... More

When asking around for dining recommendations, everyone said TAMAM. I ate here twice, stuffed wine leaves are a must & the stuffed hamburger too!!! Excellent customer service. On my 2nd night, the establishment was packed & only those w/reservations could be seated. The staff made us comfortable until they found a table for us. Much appreciated xoxo

A cut above your average taverna, Tamam serves Greek cuisine with elegant twists - stafado on an eggplant puree, steamed wild Cretan greens and lamb in a rich tomato sauce. The wine list focuses on Cretan wines (they occasionally hold wine and food pairing dinners) and the house wine is good. The restaurant is located in a back street in... More

Wish this was my local restaurant - I love the food here. Good wine and typical atmosphere. It was a very busy tourist time in Chania but we still managed a table when we wanted it. We visited many restaurants and this was our second time in Crete but Tamam always rates very highly with us.

It is definitely something you don't get to see very often: place is weird but atmospheric, service is weird but friendly, food is weird but very good! 15-20 per person.

In the heart of old town, usually crowded, we booked. Very good "homemade" food, excellent choices of vine, very knowledgeable vine person. We came back several times, also for lunch, and hopefully we will be back. One of the best for that kind of food! And the prices are very good.
