Eat in the cool interior!

The food is reliably excellent, and just that bit different from the normal Cretan menu, with Iranian dishes etc. Eating inside the old Taman (or Haman) is a lovely experience - though most tourists eat outside on the hot and noisy street!

Don't miss the chance to visit this restaurant. Cute place and the food is great. The lamb and the rabbit we ordered were amazing!

I have never had authentic Turkish food. I am not much of a meat eater, but this restaurant is amazing. The lamb was so tender. The atmosphere is really cool. The staff was very helpful in assisting us in making decisions regarding what to order. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The stuffed grape leaves are wonderful.... More

My friends and I ended up eating here twice on our vacation because we loved it so much! Great wine and food selection and the wait staff always offered up alternative suggestions so we had lots to choose from. Great starters, mains and desserts!

Exotic appetizers and wonderfully cooked main meals, very good service, this restaurant has 3 different eating places: the main one along the long narrow old Venetian lane and two other large indoor old Turkish style buildings, each lined along narrow lanes, with many tourists passing by. By reservation

If you want to test local food definitely Tamam is a place for you. Interesting interior Turkish public bath makes this place unique. A bit busy and awaiting time may be slightly longer than elsewhere but worth waiting.

Despite the spotty service, the food is true to Cretan cuisine. Generous portions and good house wine. The female server was very lovely, the other two men, not very hospitable. I would still return regardless.

Just outside my hotel, Palazzo Duca, I stumbled at thsi excelent restaurant. I had their special salad and goat in butter, both excellent dishes. The white and red wines I had by glass were eyeopeners to the great development Greek wine production has gone through the last few years. Delicious.

maybe we were not at the right time there, but TAMAM did not reach my expectations. We've been in a few local restaurants by that time, so we had comparison. The "hünkar begendi" lamb with aubergine püree. it did not have a sophisticated taste at all, it was just somehow soulless. the lamb was also not very good, because i've... More
