This was our first time at Tamam, a restaurant I have noticed every time we come to Chania, but had not tried until this past trip. Needless to say we were so impressed we went twice. They serve Cretan food but with on eastern/oriental flair, influenced from the Ottoman occupation of Crete. We had the Yiartlou (lamb with yogurt), goat... More

We went to this restaurant based on good reviews, and it was nothing more than ok. We had the cesarean pie and tamam salat for starter of which the salat was amazing and the pie disappointing! For mains we had the stuffed pepper/tomato and the souvlaki - both were very good we thought. The service was another story. When we... More

My wife and I were doing a stopover in Chania on the way to loutro. On the recommendation of our hotel receptionist we tried the Tamam. Great variety of Greek and local food at excellent prices. Drinks also at good prices. The service was excellent and friendly with the staff happy to critique their own menu and provide advice. I... More

Here you can enjoy something a bit different than the greek food you can find elsewhere, with more vegetarian choice and a more arabic taste.

A really lovely place to eat in a beautiful location, Tamam will not let you down. My husband and I really enjoyed everything we ate there, the food was gorgeous! However, if you're a fan of meatballs- these will blow you away!

We tracked this restaurant down due to the good reviews I had read before coming on holiday and the unique building the indoor seating was housed in. In the alley way which is great for people watching and on hot evenings alternatively you can sit inside which is set in an old Turkish bath. So I chose indoors and sat... More

The food is amazing - we had Iranian Rice and the lamb in tomato sauce shared between 2 which was just great. The menu has arabic/middle eastern dishes which arent the usual fare for most restaurants, so nice to go if you have souvlaki fatigue. The old batchs (for which its named) can get a little hot and crowded when... More
