Excellent food excellent service

Very good food in the heart of the old town of Chania. There are two parts. One is the really old part in an old building and the other is across the narrow lane. Same food same restaurant. All worth visiting. Prices are very reasonable.

Anyone who's been to Crete knows how proud they are of their food, and this is one of the best examples, we had a lovely simple lunch at a very reasonable price. Nice location, good wait staff and great food ... will be back asap!

If you follow the rule of "Eat where the locals do" this is a place. Situated right on an old town street of Chania, in the close vicinity of the harbour. Delicious food!

I was hungry and tired and just wanted a nice place to eat after a hour drive but found myself in the heart of a very touristic area and i was sure my lunch would be terrible. So i asked the first gift shop owner i saw if he knew of a nice local place and he said you know... More

On a paralel to waterfront street, Tamam offers quick tasty local specialties. It is crowded, wednesday evening You might need to wait in a queu for 10mins. Lots of food, prices are not high, staff is down to earth enough to make simple bolognese for kids :) Definitely recommended

Ate here on 4 nights. Each time the meals were really tasty, and good value for money. Friendly staff.

This is a great place for real Cretan food. Food is all lovely, great surroundings and generous portions. One of the big plus points for me as well is that it has two parts to it - one part is the bar and is generally more lively. The other part is a basement across the road, which is cooler but... We stumbled upon this little gem while walking through the old town of Chania & decided to give it a go on our last night. What a great decision this turned out to be. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is full & we got the last table. Food was amazing & really reasonably priced. Nice little touch... More

This is a very touristic place. Still it has good food and welcoming service. Try the Dakota. Nothing special about the risotto although everyone said I should try

Dinner starts late in Crete! We rocked up at 11pm on Friday to Tamam and were seated immediately in the centre of the restaurant. The service, food and ambiance was top notch. We were there until 1.30ish and there were still people enjoying dinner when we left. The Lamb was outstanding and the vegetables and the dips awesome.
