A very good restaurant in the old part of Chania. Dishes are in genuine Cretan style. All we tasted were delicious. Service was kind and impeccable. Nice tavern with moderate raki, the service is fast and the staff good. Great variety in dishes that to not need to especially take dish, the prices are a bit steep.

Good food and great position on interesting laneway in Chania. Restaurant is named after its extensive collection of Venetian doors. Very popular, good value. Only problem was the second course came out straight after the first.

You would never know the female owner was Irish as she has lived in Chania for ever. Good choice of dishes, friendly staff. Located in the Harbour area in a quiet hidden away street. Excellent salads. Recommended. Closed in the winter.

A very touristy restaurant. Very pricey as well and food is average. Also everyone in the restaurant was a foreigner and the atmosphere was not very good either. The food was fine but not worth the price. This restaurant is over rated and I didn't enjoy the experience.

We decided to visit this place after the high ratings on TA. Very attentive service, Yanis the waiter was so kind to us, and always there to help, we highly appreciated it. I would highly reccomend the lamb burger, it was excellent cooked. We also had desert, but I wouldn't advise to have it there, it was not good. Food... More

Chance visit to this small charming taverna. Menu consisted of local snails, pork and wine stew and beef with mash. All very acceptable. Friendly conversations with both proprietor and locals ensured a really lovely evening. Relaxed and convivial sums up the experience.

We had lunch here on a quiet back street. The food, wine and surroundings were all really good. They weren't out hustling us to come in but welcomed us when we did. We like the simple preparation and ordered one of the specials scrawled on the chalk board. Sometimes something basic like a meatball or well grilled meat really says... More

Wow. I’m truly surprised at some of the more recent mixed reviews of this restaurant ran by Irish-born Susannah who’s kitchen and staff churn out fresh, innovative, well prepared and delicious meals. We discovered this restaurant on our first of three nights in Chania. We normally like to explore as many restaurants as possible on our trips, but we were... More

We had 2 items from the specials list - a vegetable salad with yoghurt and pesto, and roast eggplant with a tahini dressing, both were wonderful. The complimentary dessert was a small tart filled with yoghurt and a raisin with syrup/honey topping, also great.
