Great little restaurant with twin waiters

During our stay at the Blue Marine Resort, we visited Agios Nikolaos a couple of times and both times we ate a fantastic meal at Dionysos. From the welcome, to the service, the food and drink were of a really good standard. On the first visit I had swordfish and it was so full of flavour and the... read more

For our first evening in A.N. we chose this restaurant so we could sit looking out over the 'lake'. We appreciated the unusually comfortable chairs as well as friendly service and excellent 'Greek plate' containing a melange of typical Greek dishes, plus a half-litre of local red wine (which - at the time of payment - they offered as complementary).... We wanted a Greek meal in a Greek Taverna and had exactly that. The setting,by the lagoon, was lovely. The 'Greek Plate' was excellent as it gave us a chance to enjoy samples of several dishes. It was almost too much, but we managed!. The Twin guys who served us were great and we enjoyed a Greek Liquer on the house... More

Even though we have all-inclusive holidays we always eat out at a local restaurant at least once during our stay. During the first week of our holiday we walked into Ag Nik (2.5 kms) and had a wander round the lagoon which is where we discovered this restaurant. The waiter we met was very friendly and explained some of the... More

I ca n't believe the previous review about the waiters being snappy. We (and many, many other visitors) have only ever had a very friendly and genuine welcome to this lovely taverna. The food is always good and excellent value. We have eaten there twice so far this holiday and have had a fabulous evening on both occasions. We thoroughly... More

The setting is lovely round the lake. Great for people watching. Our starters were a disappointment - fried baby squids were the usual fried squid rings and were tough. Nothing on my fish plate seemed fresh. The main course was better. I had the Greek plate - a mix of traditional dishes. The staff were ok but a bit snappy... More

Very nice place on our first evening in the town. We found the restaurant with trip advisor and we are not disappointed. Good prices. Everything was just fine.

We stopped in for the beer (Eringer, tho I'm sure it's available several places) but dwelled to enjoy the breeze (and fans) and the view. Great service, and the best pita since we arrived...warmed (hot!!) But still soft. Good taramousalata. A good spot. Highly recommended!!
