We forst visited the restaurant following the proposal of an Athens newspaper. We intended to have fish. However, when the owner of the restaurant was presenting the dishes they are offering, he mentioned the lamb cooked in the oven according to the traditional recipe of the mountainous Crete, i.e. only with coarse salt. We changed our minds and we ordered... More

The view is stunning by the sea and cooling on the hottest days. Relax and enjoy keep coming back here and you will feel part of the family. The best Cretan natural food. Enjoy! Buzzing atmosphere.

Don't get sucked into eating by the lake in AG unless you want bad tourist food. This place is where the locals eat, very fresh, great tasting and wholesome portions with the friendliest and most welcoming staff. Highly recommended for fresh fish and the crispy fried zucchini.

By the sea and beautiful views, this cannot be denied. But we would rather recommend it for their traditional food , FRESH FISH and good wine from the Toplou monastery (not sure about the spelling...) Lot of local people : they know and appreciate this familly rstaurant (too many people cannot be wrong ...and we were right !). Quiet and... More

The restaurant has beautiful views. We've had both lunch and dinner here. The food is your standard Greek cuisine and it was tasty. The meatball dish, soutzoukakia, is delicious. I think, without the view, it would be only average.

Beautiful sea view, light wind from the sea. Nice staff. But the food very average. But we realised that many tavernas in Agios Nikolaos are below the average. Nothing to compare to the quality you can get in Chania.

We love this restaurant located by Kitoplatia beach, you have a wonderful view out to sea, some folk are lucky to see the moon rise in the evening across the mountain. The food is wonderful, FRESH and hot. Over the years we have tried most things on the menu, and never once had a bad meal. The service is always... More

Located on the Kitoplatia, a beautiful bay setting, this family run restaurant may be in a tourist area but it is frequented by locals because it remains true to its traditions! You won't be disappointed!

Lovely location with wonderful views across the bay. Had a delightful lunch of baked feta, dolmades, Cretan salad and tzatziki with a carafe of local red wine. The food was delicious, portion size was generous and the service was very good. The meal was around 25 euros for two which was very good value. The restaurant, kitchen and toilets are... More
