Description: Kimolia is a cozy, colourful and artistic spot in the centre of Athens...
Kimolia is a cozy, colourful and artistic spot in the centre of Athens. Open from December 2011, it hosts various performances and exhibitions all year long. Jazz & Blues tunes with the occasional rock hits, cheap drinks and special cocktails along with a small variety of cold dishes and salads, this place is a must for all-day long! Don't miss the chance to check out the cute room in the back along with all the paintings that are crafted by the owners, Mrs Catherine Vayena and Renata Proestopoulou!

A place that combines neoclassical elements and modern aura through a mix and match decor full of memories, art and craft. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. Try the home made delicacies of the day and seek the "secret" lounge on the back.

One of the nicest places in the area between syntagma square and plaka. Good greek coffee, divine chocolate cake and cheesecake... The shop is usually quite and considered as a meeting point of students and art lovers.. Highly recommended !

This is a nice little cafe in a small street (a bit difficult to find, even for locals!) I would love to go back at some point.

One of the sweetest cafes I've ever been, with lovely music and home environment. Very close to Syntagma square, you will find classic drinks and beverages but also home made sweets and Greek coffee! Enjoy!

My wife and I were in Athens, we were looking for a low key place to relax and enjoy being out in the evening. The Art Cafe hit the spot, it has a real Bohemian vibe, a locals place. The music was Delta blues, quiet conversations at the tables, good sandwiches and spiced wine. The baristas were friendly and chatty,... More

As kimolia means chalk in Greek I was very delighted to find boards and chalk in the place. The decor is marvelous. There are three separate rooms to sit which was very convenient for us who were 8 with children and wanted our privacy. There is variety in coffees and juice and the staff were quick. The children played with... More

I had an iced cappuccino and a Greek salad, both were good. The atmosphere is also very nice. Great place to chill out. I found it a bit too expensive and the food was very good but not good enough for an excellent rating. Still highly recommended!

It is indeed a nice cafe with art flavor. The trouble is it is not well ventilated and people really smoke a lot inside. No signs warn you about it. Hence, if you are a smoker, this is a place to be. If not, and especially if you are with children, you would better stay away.

Thank you for taking this time to review Kimolia for us! It's a pleasure to see both sides, good and less good ones, especially the latter, as an opportunity for improvement. We would therefore like to take this chance to point out that we respectfully disagree with the topic of your critique. We have had lots of families in Kimolia,... More

Very nice café located at the centre of Athens (near Syntagma square). The decoration and atmosphere are very appealing. Tips: The table at the back is very cosy and isolated from the rest of the shop. Ideal if you want some privacy. Try one of the teas they offer-their names and taste are amazing!
