Fresh fish but expensive

Same old story. Taxi from airport recommended zorbas and we tried it. Had the sea bream which they do filet and clean near the table (as one would expect in a decent restaurant) but although the fish was good and fresh it was served with boring boiled vegetables which let the dish down. I'm surprised at some of the reviews here, because they are so very different from what we experienced at Zorba's. Yes, we did come because of a taxi driver's recommendation, but we were very glad we took his advice. The setting is lovely. Food was very good. Wait staff were attentive. Our complete dinner, with wine was not outrageously priced.... More

Had the worst experience ever! We asked for a mix of grilled prawns, shrimps and calamari and the waiter brought us a grilled sea bass (after one hour). We said that it wasn't what we ordered and said something in Greek and went away with the fish. The boss then came to tell us that we could have the mix,... More

judging from the mix of reviews, find out where you fit in the travel world and then you will better understand a restaurant such as this. we leave "home" and wish to experience what is not "home". next, accept the reality that the cost of marketing is worked into any business overhead, be it a media ad or a commission... No complaints for quality of food and service however was expensive. In reat location for the views of the old harbour! Brought here by our driver but that's to be expected, this is how they work. Ravioli pasta (approx $18 Euro) and cod fish (approx $14 Euro) dishes were simple but Devine. Had complementary zoo which was a nice touch.... More

Was sent here by the taxi driver we were having a tour with. I understand that the driver would be getting some kind of commission from the restaurant for sending customers here but this doesn't bother me because everybody's got to make a living. The place is a touch expensive but you are right at the sea front so i... More

Took taxi from hotel as wanted to experience more "real Greek food" not 5 star meals. Taxi driver ( woman ) offered us to be taken to Greek restaurant which serve nice meals. And boy we been taken for ride. Took longer journey ( over € 10 more as taxi back ), ignored our stop and stop car front of... More

We were walking the marina when we hailed a cab. We engaged in a friendly conversation which ended with us asking the cab for a suggestion on a good local non tourist seafood restaurant. He told us he had just the right place and took us to this trap. We were immediately treated with water by an overbearing waiter. We... More

Fortunately recommended by hotel as their are many eating options in the Piraeus yacht harbour.. Table overlooking water, nice ambience, seafood options extensive , Greek wine drinkable. The service was excellent (perfect English) and reasonably priced.

As most of the reviews, fish is expensive (70 Euro/kg for seabream). It was well cooked and the view by the seaside is nice. There is nothing special in the Mikrolimano area. There are 3-4 restaurants and shops vacant, and some abandoned vacant buildings is not the best seaside environment. Nothing special, do not expect a nice walk by the... More
