Have been invited to PSARISTON more than once and it is indeed one of the best but also definitely one of the most expensive fish restaurants in Athens. The location of the restaurant is... let's call it... "interresting", and done up like a typical fish taverna you find tons of, all over Greece. That said, it's probably just borderline kitsch,... Nice atmosphere as in casual nice. The staff was very obliging. The fish was fresh indeed - Baby calamari, tiny shrimps from Symi and fish carpaccio were great. Nothing so outstanding though as to have to traipse across Athens if you're not staying in the area. Lots of equivalent fish restaurants in Athens to go - for the same quality... More

It i nothing special and can name many better fish restaurants in Athens to go. Very small choice on fresh fish (which is not bad as means tha he keeps the quality) but also overpriced. The appetizers where nothing special, somebody had the idea of combining shells with chips (not even fresh chips) and the result was not that tasty.... More

Whenever you go, whatever you choose to eat, it's a bliss!!! For fish lovers... Strictly! The most fresh fishes, the best shrimp and prawn spaghetti, and unique delicacies you have ever tasted! Don't forget to taste the truffle shrimps, the small tomatoes with kaparofylla, the raw tuna and the octopus salad....

Well, this place is really worth seeing. Very nice seafood with magic and funny interior. Be careful, there is alway full. I tried "yovos".

This is a very nice restaurant, with delicious food and an "different kind" of decor (please check out the signs on the walls). The seafood is fresh with lots of alternatives to choose from and it is cooked to perfection. The service was quite fast as we were in harry to go to the airport. The only negative comment I... More

I have been invited twice to this place by my greek friends. The first time, last year, we ordered a wine just to find that the glasses they brought were smeling fish. I felt unconfortable but had to request twice to change the glasses. And by that time I was presented to a dish called orgasm. Nothing special although my... More

What really makes the difference is the place itself, old style as from another age. At first, you might think "what i am doing here" but then you will find a new world of fish tastes. Cuisine is nothing unique, but the combination of average good food with the setting and friendly service, does make a difference. Worths visiting.

Our taxi driver hardly knew how to get here form Syntagma but, we found it eventually. The restaurant is situated in what appeared to be a rather run down and dubious part of town, and the premises reminded one of entering into a 1950's well stocked car repair shop. We were guided to our table, and proceeded to study the... More

To find authinc fish and seafood in athens its a bit dificult. Not in psariston discovered by mistake far away from the center in a place that tells nothing for the tresures that hides. Vasilis at the door placed as in a small table in a full restaurant even on a regular monday in winter time! Despite the fact that... More
