Authenic, delicious and great buzzy atmosphere

Don't be put off by the slightly rustic setting and queues! (In fact, just book a table so you are not disappointed). The BEST Japanese food I have eaten in Greece. We were four hungry girls on a night out and ready to eat well and we did. Lots of it. and all for €20 euro a head including some... read more

This place is one of the best ethnic restaurants in the centre of Athens in my opinion. It has been in the same place like forever, even back in 2004 when the area was not that hip and well-known. Furin Kazan is not exactly value for money but I think that when you're looking for a high-quality meal, this is... More

Good location, very close to the city center. We had sushi there which was very good. Service was also very quick. All the staff were very friendly. The only problem the restaurant was a little small so everytime the door was opened we felt the cold whether outside.

This is a good choice for lunch, or late lunch , if you are in the center of Athens . Fairly authentic Japanese cuisine, good prices, excellent service. Poor wine list, though, and sake not the best . But for these prices it is a place one would come very often. Weakness: avoid the noodles.

I ordered a fried noodles with squid, shrimps and pork. Everything was up to expectations except the pork who was gray, dry and chewy, with traces of fat. The taste was non the less good after I isolated the poor pork bits and all in all, a good visit. Service was efficient, English menus. Plus for free desert with fruits.

I decided to order take out which can be a mixed result for sushi. Restaurant was busy, decent but bland decor. The waitor that took my order seemed arrogant like he had something better to do. Sushi platter at 22euros and yakisoba special 9 euros. Sushi was fresh, decent sized. The roe was a pleasant surprise. Yakisoba was very good... More

Very nice place, great sushi in Syntagma square. The prices are logical and the quality is high. The only minus is that is always crowded and you need reservation.

furin kazan used to be the first cheap basic sushi in Athens. a no frills, incredible fresh and right that moment made sushi. the tuna maki and salmon maki really are one of the best eaten. the steamed spinach is nothing special, so please stick with the basics and you will be delighted by the quality, the freshness, the taste,... I started eating at this restaurant 16 years ago, when very few people in Athens knew its existence. Since then I visit it often, but.... the food has always been excellent, the environment keeps changing , but the fact that the staff is running like crazy and there is always a long line to go in and at least 20...
