Description: Kimolia is a cozy, colourful and artistic spot in the centre of Athens....
Kimolia is a cozy, colourful and artistic spot in the centre of Athens. Open from December 2011, it hosts various performances and exhibitions all year long. Jazz & Blues tunes with the occasional rock hits, cheap drinks and special cocktails along with a small variety of cold dishes and salads, this place is a must for all-day long! Don't miss the chance to check out the cute room in the back along with all the paintings that are crafted by the owners, Mrs Catherine Vayena and Renata Proestopoulou!

Packed!

We went a couple of times and it was very busy - very popular with locals. They do hot drinks, alcohol and lovely snacks. Definately worth a trip for lunch or coffee

Our hotel is located near by so we decided to stop by. So cute and cozy. Jazz music and it has my favorite semi sweet red wine!!!a bit expensive. You can smoke inside so we won't be for long even though I smoke. I've gotten used to smoke free bars and cafe.

Very nice ambiance and good-looking decoration. Not too heavy but artistic and free-mind essence. Perfect after a walk at a sunny day, but expensive p.ex. coffee for the standars of the area and its properties.

Looks like a cozy a bit crazy flat, full of art objects. Nice choice of cocktails, few types of a good light wine, light snacks, free appetizers if you drink, very friendly and welcoming staff.

This hidden gem is close to attractions - Temple of Zeus, Plaka, Parthenon, etc. - but is quiet relaxing alternative. Great for a cocktail and chill. Nice music and decor. And the servers/bartenders were very nice. Check it out for yourself.

Not far from crowded Plaka and the Temple of Zeus, Kimolia provides a quiet respite from the heat. Great setting with low music allowing conversation, friendly staff and cute-cozy setting. Cooling fans and wifi make it hard to leave. Delicious coffees, not too sweet or weak.

Nice music, nice decor and good choice for coffee beans. The shop is stated in a special place without noise, but with a good view of people passing by.

A place that combines neoclassical elements and modern aura through a mix and match decor full of memories, art and craft. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. Try the home made delicacies of the day and seek the "secret" lounge on the back.

One of the nicest places in the area between syntagma square and plaka. Good greek coffee, divine chocolate cake and cheesecake... The shop is usually quite and considered as a meeting point of students and art lovers.. Highly recommended !

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
