Nice little place with honest food.

We arrived in Athens late, anticipating a day at the Acropolis. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel manager. It was almost 11pm and I didn't hold much hope, but this place was excellent. This restaurant was the worst we had in Athens. The owner was really not customer minded, the food was not nice at all and without any flavor. Not to be recommended at all.

We had a dinner in Ambrosia tonight...hardly could finish what we ordered, so tasteless. The appetizer-grilled feta cheese- came after main meal. It turned out to be a feta floating in a tomato oil. Thanks god we ordered only one. Moussaka tasted as it was heated in microwave, definitely not fresh. Chicken skewer was not edible. It was made from... More

This is a very famous place here in Athens for pita gyros, and rightfully so. This is the way gyros should be done traditionally, a little bit greasy but not too much and wrapped in the correct way! To be honest, I personally prefer the modern revisitations of gyros, with no oil on the pita and mint replacing the garlic... More

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this place for our first lunch in Athens, our friends had told us about the gyros in Greece as soon as we saw it on the menu we had to order! And it was as amazing as they had described, we got a chicken and a pork and cant rave and more about... More

I love this restaurant, the view, and the service. I eat early sometimes and have the whole place to myself overlooking the city. I love the traditional options- I did have a penne with pistachios once that didn't compete with the other options but really everything on the menu is quality.

Big portions but poor quality... I guess it's ok for someone who's just up to have an average suvlaki. Staff is kind and quick.

The price here is more reasonable than those at the Plaka and the acropolis. We tried the aubergines, pork on the spit, sea bass, spinach with rice and pasta with cheese. The pork and sea bass were nicely cooked; lean and juicey. The aubergines were good but the eggplant was a little bitter. Pasta with cheese is literally pasta with... More

Stopped in for dinner. Terrible food and even worse service! Greek salad- unripe tomato, tasteless feta. Lamb on spit tasted like over cooked beef roast. Pita bread was fried to crisp. To top it all the owner/manager? was rude and service was ridiculously slow even though they were not busy (now we know why). Took 30mins to get the check... More

Good local cafe/restaurant. Very simple, nothing fancy, just plain, ordinary, well done local greek dishes.
