Nice food

Nice seafood. 50 euros per 2 people if you share. We had big sea food plate which was more than enough.

What can I say. Just good things. Only negative is the portions are very big, but is that really a negative. Loved the meatballs and the lamb.

We were looking for somewhere to grab a drink and an evening meal. We were simply taken by the greeter. Excellent persona. Didn't push once. Showed us dishes and explained every thing. The meal we had was the meat sharing platter small. It was great. The beer is cold and the food is super. It's a well deserved 5 from... More

All and all, we had a great dinner. Only too bad the bread (you get at the start), seems to be shared amongst the tables. I'm not totally sure, but given the fact the bread was a bit dry (and hard) and we sliced one piece in half, and put it back in the basked, after which it seemed to... More

We sat outside for a late lunch with hoards of tourists walking by and the happy train driving by. We wished we knew about the garden sitting area. The grilled sea bream was very fresh, the grilled octopus was very tender and tasty. The mixed meat grill was good and the portion for 2 was big enough for 3 people.

We order fried squid, chicken fillet and etc. All of them are extremely salty. The seafood is not fresh and they cook the meat for too long. OMG. It may be the worst hotel we have ever eaten in Athens. Besides, the waiters are too busy to serve anything for you. If you do not want to leave any bad... More

This probably one of the most authentic restaurants considering it's right in the middle of the most touristy area of Athens. The little courtyard at the back is a great place to get a table especially during the warmer months, it looks small and cosy but it doesn't feel crowded. The best thing about it is of course the food.... More

We went here twice with five other friends so we tried a good part of the menu and I can say that I definitely recommend this Efcharis. They have great greek specialities (lamb, moussaka, feta, and much more) for a very reasonable price, especially considering the location. The service is honestly one of the best I ever had. I got... Staying in Monastiraki

Neighborhood Profile
Monastiraki
Monastiraki is a souvenir-hunting enclave with a difference. Apart from the dramatic backdrop of the Acropolis, its network of alleys and pedestrianized streets surround the remains of both the Greek and Roman agoras, adding the quaint concept that this is where the ancients also came to shop. Named after the tiny monastery church at its center, Monastiraki Square is a lively spot by day or night, with street peddlers vying for your attention to sell you nuts and sweets. Down beside the metro station, the official Flea Market is an unbroken row of souvenir shops until you come to antique-oriented Platia Avissinias, while Pandrossou Street on the other side of the square offers more tourist shopping. The pedestrianized street beside the Greek Agora is lined with cafés offering fine views.
