Amazing food each plate unique and delicious. I would love to recrate their recipes at home but I don't think I could so I have to come to Athens more often to visit Avocado. First but definitely not the last visit. Excellent.

We feel so lucky we found this place via tripadvisor and went for dinner. It was absolutely delicious, especially after traveling around France where some places didn't have vegetarian options. Such a perfect location, good background music, comfortable space, fun waiters, reasonable prices, and the awesome veg menu! What a break from other meat heavy restaurants in Europe.

After nearly a week of eating mostly Greek salads and bread, I was delighted to visit Avocado on my recent trip to Athens. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you should definitely make time to come to Avocado and you won't be disappointed! If you are not vegetarian or vegan, you'll still love it. My boyfriend is not vegetarian and... More

As vegans my wife and I were delighted to find this sensation in Athens. Loved the casual feel, terrific service ( Panos was an absolute delight .. Friendly and informative) and extensive and varied menu. We come from Melbourne, Australia a city well serviced by vegan/vegetarian restaurants and would rank this easily on par with those we have visited their.... More

My girlfriend and I found out early on that Athens does not offer much for vegetarians. Pizza, pasta, grilled vegetables and cheese were seemingly all that there was to offer. Thank god for Avocado. Tucked away on a side road off of syntagma square, sits this welcome breath of healthy fresh air. Here they offer a wide range of light... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
