I loved the food at Avocado restaurant. Ordered "Holy guacamole" for starter and as main course pasta with avocado, olives and broccoli. The portion was big and very tasty. It is recommended to book a table in advance as the place is pretty crowded. People without reservation stayed in line in order to get a table.

As the only vegetarian in my family, I had become accustomed a lot of bread, cheese, and falafel on this trip (though I'm not complaining!). The prospect of an all-vegetarian restaurant was, therefore, quite exciting, and my expectations were not disappointed. The tables downstairs were full when we arrived, so we sat upstairs on cushions at a low table; our... More

Visited for lunch with my family on a weekday. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent space. Definitely a place that vegans can enjoy in Greece. there aren't so many afterwards. No need for reservations.

Tried the avocado burger and quinoa salad with Avacado- both delicious. Great service and the place has a nourishing vibe to it.

This small restaurant was always packed when I went there. I had full meals or just sanduíches, all delicious, fresh, nutritious. I also recommend their freshly squeezed juices.

Extensive vegetarian menu with lots of fresh local produce. Excellent coffee. English speaking host was charming. Generous helpings - we could only manage 2 courses. Even meat-eating son enjoyed his vegie burger.

This is the best vegan restaurant I have found in several nations. The setting is very clean and modern, and the food is fresh, unique, and totally delicious. Any carnivore will leave satisfied. They can do some wonderful things with....avocados. The prices I thought a bit high until I caught on that touristed areas in Europe are very expensive, but... More

What an amazing experience the first time we went here and hence returned again for the same divine food during our short stay in Athens! Food, staff, service, everything was fantastic and I hope they can open a branch in London! I was very surprised to find an only vegetarian restaurant in Athens, but it was definitely a pleasant surprise.... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
