Excellent Dinner with an Incredible View

To say we stumbled upon this restaurant is an understatement. We were headed to a different restaurant and a local store owner told us NO - we must go to Acropolis View. He went so far as to walk us a few blocks to make sure we found it. The view is phenomenal. The dinner was excellent (best ceased... read more

Beautiful views of the Acropolis while enjoying a delicious dinner. The bar was fun and the owner was delightful. We shared a fun evening with the helpful waiters and the spectacular views in the evening made the evening a special experience.

We ate here after a long day touring the sites in Athens and enjoyed it. The view is great and the food was nice. The prices were slightly higher than some places in Athens but reasonable, given location.

The view is everything. Really magical. Since it is so touristy I am assuming that is why the food was mediocre compared to the food we ate in small villages and the Greek islands but nonetheless still tasty and affordable. They need to start accepting cards though.

We were 6 dinning during sunset The view from the restaurant table was stunning, the Acropolis stood their for thousands of years and still magnificent. The food variety and selection is excellent. The taste is really delicious, we ordered seafood and steaks and different appetizers and everyone enjoyed the food. I really recommend to visit this restaurant.

A beautiful view to Akropolis and good, tasty food. The service was very competent and friendly. Unusual for Athens the restaurant charged for bread and the wine was very, very expensive. Dessert ( a slice of cake) var "on the house", but this had little effect on the general impression of overpriced food and beverages. If you do not need... More

The space is gorgeous and view is exquisite; unfortunately for a place that appears to be worthy of a Michelin Star (at least 1), it fails to deliver. For the price we were underwhelmed. The wine list is extensive and well thought out, if a bit pricey, even by European standards. The menu is your average "upscale chic" offering, but... More

The view was worth the trip. The staff was very polite and the view was worth it. My partner and I went for lunch. I got the rooster pasta which was decent, I probably wouldn't get it again. The meal came with bread and olives which was high quality. You can sit with a view of the Acropolis and the... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
