The view was worth the trip. The staff was very polite and the view was worth it. My partner and I went for lunch. I got the rooster pasta which was decent, I probably wouldn't get it again. The meal came with bread and olives which was high quality. You can sit with a view of the Acropolis and the... More

My wife and I ate here on the last night of our honeymoon. The view is absolutely amazing, especially once it gets dark and the Acropolis is lit up. The service was good and the place was clean. We were both disappointed in the quality of the food for the price (we felt it was average at best), especially since... More

This restaurant has a good view on the Acropolis. It is very clean and has decent food. You can't exit the museum and come back in so go there for lunch.

Live bouzouki music while looking up at the Acropolis feet from Hadrian's Library. And good food. And good service. Pretty near perfect, and the prices are very reasonable.

Yummm! Try something of the desert menu. Anything. So good. The people are nice and friendly too and it's so cheap in comparison to anything you get in Sydney.

This is our second time eating at this restaurant. The first was in 2011. We were a group of six. The owner prepared a 4 course set menu. Choice of two kinds of fish, turkey or chicken along with appetizer, desert, tea & coffee/water. The food was tasty and nicely presented. My American cousins are picky eaters and they were... More

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at the Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel for the view. Having dined at similar places in other cities, I expected very high prices, inferior food, and random service. The view is breathtaking. Other reviewers complained about the dirty glass. On a winter's night I did not notice that. But the manager allowed us to... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
