Very interesting tasting experience

Great seafood and wine. I really recommend the suggested dishes of the day. You can also relax with a nice cocktail at the warm and friendly yard.

Some dishes are nice, though not excellent. I had turkey burgers and they had many little pieces of bones inside, which means the whole animal was minced together. Not a great experience. Nice environment, poor service.

Considering the place was empty the service was rather unattentive. However the food was nice, reasonably priced and tasty. A bit different from the usual Greek fare.

Excellent food, nice ambience, great service. We always eat here once when in Athens, and it never disappoints. Good variety of tapas and other items, all fresh and tasty.

I have been going to Salero two years now , although i dont really like this particular area and was first not very interest in going , after my first visit i was amazed by the variety and good quality of foods. Mussels and generally seafood and the Mastelo cheese and the little white breads are worth trying. Plus there... More

Very nice place with very nice food at exarchia. If you are there visit it There is lot of good dishes but not lot of Spanish ones. I d like it to be little cheaper but I'm OK.

The food (especially the chocolate cake with ice cream) was really good. Service was excellent and we had a nice dinner here after visiting Sir Locks Escape Room.

Generally the dishes are very tasty, the ingredients are always fresh. The wine (not bottled) we had was also very good. Well be sure to order paella... The prices were also very reasonable

This is among best places to be in Athens! A little culinary heaven! Try the goat cheese wrapped in jamon w/caramelized pears, meatbealls, hummus, shrimps in almonds...! They have a beautiful list of wines as well! The staff is extremely friendly! Do not miss this unique experience!

An employee at our hotel said she really liked this place and recommended we go. The food was very good, but we ended up accidentally getting a bunch of fried foods because it wasn't labeled on the menu. I ordered the chicken burrito, which was great, but i wasn't expecting in deep fried. I also ordered the almond shrimp, very... More

Staying in Exarchia

Neighborhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
