Very Nice Meal Out

The restaurant sits in a nice quiet area of Plaka away from the hustle and bustle. The service was quite quick, the waitress was lovely and so was the food. Reasonably priced. Lovely to eat outside too, heaters making this possible on a October evening.

We needed a cold beer, preferably Mythos - this taverna was one of only a few nearby that had cold Mythos, so we chose to eat here as well. Tzatziki, taramasalata, and Greek salad were all very pleasant. With 23% tax included, a total of 27.5 euro - about average for Plaka area.

We chose this place because it had the Trip Advisor 2013 rating sign up. We sat on the patio, but the restaurant itself looks really nice inside. We had been walking for a while in the tourist areas. This one is in Plaka. We ordered tomato cucumber salad, sausage mezzes and lamb kleftiko and all were very tasty. I found... More

Average food and very slow service. It took forever to get our dinner and then the check. The waiters saw us hurrying for our taxi and cheated us in our change by 50€. We noticed this too late unfortunately. If there is no way for you to avoid this place, bring time and count every cent!

Great ambience and service. The food was excellent - especially the stuffed vegetables and a dessert starting from "Gianni". Visted with kids and the staff was helpful and courteous.

Our food was just average, but the day we ate there, people at three other tables nearby were VERY unhappy with their food. We couldn't quite hear what the problem was, but two of them left without eating. The response from the restaurant wasn't quite what you'd hope for. The location is nice, but there are a lot of other... More

We were impressed with this restaurant. We spoke to the manager about fish earlier in the day and remembered to come back. The service was fine- perhaps the previous bad waiter has moved on?? The local fish was delicious. Cooked well and dietary requests catered for. Lamb perhaps a little fatty but generally the flavours were delicious. Lovely courtyard for... More

The location in la plaka is really good. We only Stopped here for a dessert and they were amazing! We got the pecan cake and the Apple pie and they were both very good sizes and extremely tasty! It's not too cheap... Cakes go from €4 to €7.50 and a fresh orange juice is €4. I here tried for the... More

They were more than eager to invite you inside but once you accepted and took a place at the table the waiters paid little to you. They brought us water that we didn't order and of course chrged us for it. The waiter didn't pour the drinks that we actually ordered. The food was fatty. We ate just because we... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
