Must for Vegetarian food lovers visiting Athens!

Nice bistro-like restaurant. Amazing food, with best variety of humus (4 types) we ever had! Well served and attentive service. Highly recommended.

The food was really lovely. I had the best vegetarian moussaka ever, it was delicious! On the other hand, they said they were changing the menu and half of the dishes on the menu were actually not available...

Thank you very much for your review. We usually change our menu four times a year.Probably it happens the day you came. The most important thing is that we use first class materials to satisfy our customers. The night before we change the menu is a little bit complicated for us also because we dont have some dishes! What an unexpected delight to find this bistro-like restaurant with such attention to vegans and gluten-free diners. My wife is both (full disclosure: I am neither) and we both loved this place. She had the curry and I had the pizza and both meals were great. I also really enjoyed the kind attentive service. The only reason I didn't go... More

After 24-hours of flying, we checked into our lodging and happened by this place for dinner after checking Trip Advisor reviews. It was my first visit to Athens since 1987. I was eager to see if the Greece I knew from the 1970's and 1980's has changed much or whether some traditions carry on. The ambiance is quintessentially Athenian presenting... More

Delicious food with plenty of vegan choices. Friendly staff and moderate price. Thai yellow curry was great.

Being vegetarian we had done some research in to the veg restaurants in Athens. Rosebud came up with good feedback and we not disappointed. After spending a couple of hours going up to Mt Lycabittus we were ready for a good meal. We were quite ealy in the evening at abt 7 so was not very busy. The humus was... More

Didn't know what to expect, but I had their hummus (4 diffrent kinds) which were the best one I've ever eaten. Also tasted their funky homemade ravioli with Almond. A must visit if in Athens. Will go there next time. Go green, go veggie!

We thought the restaurant had closed down when we got to Skoufa 40 but in fact the restaurant was still open and buzzing. Skoufa 40 was in the opposite direction than we initially had thought. (Rosebud is on the corner FYI) Fantastic tasty vegan food & great service. Really nice atmosphere and food is priced very reasonably. Ordered a veggie... More

It was through trip advisor reviews that we landed up at this small but beautiful eatery on our first evening at Athens. And I must say just fell in love with this place. Staying in Exarchia

Neighborhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
