It's better to reserve a table before setting out for Chalandri, at Kitsoulas, otherwise you might remain hungry! I've been a faithful patron for many many years and - although far from where I live - it's still one of my 2-3 favourite eating places in the city. My office is very near the restaurant and we choose it very often for lunch. They cook everyday many homemade dishes that worth paying for.
Historic family owned and run eating venue ( in greek "fagadiko"). Excellent choice of freshly cooked dishes both meat and vegetables. The service is good and friendly , the wine moderate , and the price excellent. Traditional greek cooking , closest to eating at home.
excellent food, great variety of casseroles, pies etc. respectable portions for a very modest price. very crowded on weekends. take away available
The food is ok, can't say it's divine. Service ok also. Simple environment. Prices could be a little bit lower for what they offer. Certainly not one of the best...

This taverna is basic, traditional, good quality, and very close to what you would eat in a Greek home. It is a refreshingly authentic and no-frills place, in a seemingly endless sea of gastro-tavernas and restaurants that are feeding our recent "foodie frenzy". It is great value for money, as well. Large portions at great prices, thus the queue outside,...
