LOOK NO FURTHER, THE BEST IN ATHENS. We regret trying the other souvlaki places (like the more praised establishments only meters apart near Monastiraki Sq) supposedly "the best in the city". When we realized that Kostas had the juiciest meat and is the most flavorful souvlaki we've had, it was our last day in Athens, and Kostas was closed on... More

Food in Athens was not the best in the world. Thanks to Mr.Kostas we ate something really good!! Even our fussy little boyliked the Souvlaka.Be warned it closes at 3 pm! The owners were very friendly. When they found out we were foreigners they offered us traditional Greek drinks. The food was nice and the price was very very very good.We highly... More

I've been here for a little over two weeks, and being on a budget, I've been on a souvlaki binge. Kostas is by far the best around. They are small so get there early to avoid the rush, extremely friendly and cheap. Closed on weekends unfortunately. Their tomato sauce differentiates themselves from the rest. THE BEST

As noted in other reviews the location shown on the map is badly out. It took me a while to find this place but its well worth searching for. The souvlaki is really tasty and great value. The menu is limited but when it tastes this good it doesn't matter.

It's location on the map is completely wrong. It's also closed until 26th August. Be warned! Sure it's great if you can find it and it's open.

This place is a hole in the wall and if you're not looking for it, you would miss. Even if you are looking for it you might miss it! Kostas has great souvlaki. Very fresh ingredients, cooked and assembled right in front of you. Delicious! This is mostly a take out place with a long line of locals and tourists.... More

Kostas, an unassuming little Souvlaki restaurant, right next door to the Best Western Amazon Hotel on Pentalis Street, like its present owner, a young Kostas & his wife, serve the best souvlaki we have ever tasted! Beautifully spiced meat, tomato, parsley, yoghurt wrapped in a toasted pita - sublime! You won't be too much out of pocket for a mid... More

The best souvlaki ever eaten in Athens. Lightweight, well cooked, served with kindness, loved by the locals, very cheap (2 euro each). I'd come back to Athens just for Kostas and Bretto's. Not to be missed.

The first souvlaki I had at Athens and it was real good. Had to wait a good 25 minutes for my order, given the crowd. Kostas jr takes the money with his silver tongs and returns the change back with the tongs.  The souvlaki is nice and filling and the spice added on, adds to the overall flavor.  The location...
