It was the most tasty souvlaki we had in Athens. We had 3 souvlaki in pita and 2 beers for 11 euros! It's a tiny little place, not easy to find.

Very much above average small and inexpensive take out Souvlaki place a few blocks from the Parliament building. Juicy and flavorful pork wrapped in a pita with yogurt, onions, tomato, and parsley. It can be a busy place which speaks to its popularity among locals and tourists a like. Hours are pretty limited, something like 9 AM to 3 PM... More

I've had some other pita souvlakis in Thassos, Greece, before. This one is delicious. The old guy prepares it in front of your eyes. It takes 2 minutes and it costs 2 euros. I've had two of them. A must go.

Focus on the appetizers, which are tasty and varied. Main dishes are nearly all fried and quite bland. Wine flows freely, and it can be quite loud.

Saw reviews for this place on Trip Advisor. Looked good so gave it a try. Very, very good souvlaki and a very good value. Two of us had 3 souvlaki pittas and 2 beers for 10 euros. Guy behind counter seemed very helpful. Only thing I would add is get ther dearly because they close at 230pm

I will add my voice to all the others and say this was an excellent souvlaki. Perhaps not 'the best in the world', but really excellent. A little different to many others i have had: no garlic sauce but heavy on a delicious tomato-based sauce. Possibly more than, or equal to, the food is the experience of finding this hole... More

For me it was the best souvlaki in Athens. The meat was juicy and the bread ("pita") was soft. Some people may find a little spicy, but I like spicy food. The only problem is that the place is very crowded, so you need to be a little patient.

This was by far the best soulvaki I had during my time in Greece. It's a small restaurant, but it's perfect for a quick bite (there seemed to be many locals there as well). The ingredients taste extremely fresh and the meat tender - all for an extremely low price! Would highly recommend.

Soon after our arrival in Greece we had souvlaki at one of the more famous establishments near Monastiraki. Food there was OK at best. On our last day in Greece we found Kostas. All I can say is that the souvlaki we had that day was much better by a long shot. The only thing I regret is that we... More
