This restaurant was recommended by a friend that lives in Athens. We never would have been interested in visiting this strange business/industrial area of Athens. It was surprising to find this gem among high rises. It was a fun experience and everything we ordered was delicious! You can pick out your fish and your appetizers as if you were in... More

Sort of an upscale tavern, prices were reasonable, and rare catches available daily. For starters we had a very fresh and large green salad, sea urchin salad, grilled shrimp. They brought us a small cup of complimentary fish soup. Meze were followed by a large roofs fish encrusted in salt which was chopped away table side, after which the fish... More

What I love about Kollias: one of the very few restos that keep always the same quality, which is very extremely rare, every time the food is good and service friendly. Go for the fish cooked in salt, I'd rather have 5 minutes less cooked but is is still very good!

As you enter the restaurant, you walk up to the starters, the fish in ice, and the daily specials and select which you want. All is perfectly fresh, wonderfully presented and 'on display'. Then you go to your table and have a little tsipourou (on the house) while they carry your selection into the open-kitchen and prepare it in front... More

Definately one of the best fish restaurants in Athens. The place where fresh fish exposed to the clients for selection is blended with variation of inspired small dishes and fresh salad of different kinds. Finally great traditional sweet selection and greek coffe hand made and served in traditional bronze pot. This place is not cheap but one can eat the... More

Truly the best fish I ever had in my life! I had red mullets and squids on the grill, incredibly tasty! Place is very nice, looks like a sort of fishmarket where you can see and choose your fish. Also a wide offer of entrees from Greek couisine. Just pay attention at how much fish you order since the bill... More

You can always judge a good restaurant by whether all the locals eat there - and Kollias is always full of locals plus regulars travelling up from Piraeus. The fish could not be fresher or better prepared. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual but classy at the same time. Everything is good! And not too... More

One of my favourites in Athens, casual yet elegant, like a classic. It reminds of tratoria in Milan where the cold dishes are displayed and you can choose what you like. The fish soup is out of the world, a must try. Staff is friendly.

Every single time we visit Athens, we make sure we visit Kollias because in my opinion it is the best seafood restaurant in Athens. The fish are always fresh and everything from the appetizer salads to the main dishes are exceptionally tasty. My recommendation would be to ask what are the fresh fish and for their recommendations on how to... More

Delicious fish, creative recipes and excellent service. Mr. Kolias is the host and makes you feel at home. He cooks traditional and inventful recipes from all over Greece. The atmosphere is modern , yet, cosy.
