If you are around Belize City, don't miss this nice restaurant, a bit out of the center, but it worth it cause this is a nice spot! Great view, excellent food, nice people! The shrimps were fished after we order our meal, so very fresh food!

Saw all the good reviews about this place, so we decided to give it a shot. We on a Saturday evening at about 6pm, and we were the only ones there. Decided to stay because, again, the reviews were so good. The restaurant is completely outside right next to shrimp ponds. Sat down thinking, "wow, I am about to have... More

Come to find out, my first review was a bit pre-mature. Everything I said still holds true other than the service. The food is still great and reasonably priced, the atmosphere is still unique and awesome but upon going back many more times, I've found the staff there to be unbearable, slow to serve, incompetent and worse of all put... Found this place on trip advisor and we were quite interested in visiting because we were stating in ladyville... Not far away. Keep your eye out for the sign that is painted on the side of a building next to a gas station (puma?)....keep driving down the dirt road and you will see the processing facility on your right... We were recommended to come to Captain Hook's as the shrimp here is supposed to be the best. It's a little off the beaten track but we found it in the end. We ordered the shrimp and waited and waited. Now this place is open to the elements and despite copious quantities of bug spray we were feeling that we... More

We lived here for several months before we even heard about the place. We take all our guests here now, and they love it! Driving there, you certainly wouldn't think you're going to a cool restaurant like this. I was sure I was lost the first time I went to find it, but lo and behold there it was. We... More

We just found out about this restaurant this week and had to check it out. Oh my goodness! We have never had better or fresher shrimp ever - anywhere! The staff and owner, Kim, are very accommodating and were just a delight to talk to. We each had the coconut shrimp that came with fries and a lovely fresh salad.... More
