Almost perfect

In mid-September we went here for lunch and again for dinner on the following day, and on both occasions found it to be good value with very little to criticise. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service friendly but generally prompt and efficient. The fish was grilled to perfection, without the... read more

Very good food and friendly service. Not too expensive. Other reviewers wrote about the quality of the fish not being the best. Still, the food was excellent.

We were incredibly disappointed on our first attempt to visit to realise we had chosen a day when the restaurant was closed at lunchtime. However we returned on the Friday night - 4 adults, three teenagers and had a fantastic meal. The highlight was the sea bass stuffed with crab - absolutely delicious. The restaurant was very good value with... More

According of same reviews about this restaurant is normal food and nothing more. The chef needs 1 thing, go to Sesimbra or Setubal to learn what is good fish. For sure there are more fish restaurants in viana better than this .

Couldn't understand why the restaurant wasn't packed as it was so good. Then realised the football was on in Lisbon! Had it not am sure it would have been teeming. Food was superb, great service and wasn't expensive.

We ate lunch here in early September and the whole meal and restaurant experience was excellent. We do not speak Portuguese and the waiter who welcomed us quickly brought over a member of staff who spoke enough English to explain the menu and take our order - he was very helpful throughout our time there. The menu del dia was... More

Maybe a bad menu choice but seafood rice with lobster was so bland and ordinary it could have been made better at home. It was further spoilt by the bitter green tomalley in the lobster spoiling everything in contact including the usually sweet meat in the tail. Pictures and reviews led us there but we would not recommend at all.... More

Grateful for your opinion. Our goal is the satisfaction of our customers, and that after the meal are not disappointed. Sometimes we fail, but these flaws allow us to improve and be more attentive. We were sad not to meet your expectations. But we would like to say that we are careful to choose the freshest and best quality products,... More

We had dinner at the Pescador on a Saturday night based on the reviews and our desire for fish etc. We had the mixed fish grill for two at Euros 33 which also comes with a little sea food. The recession must have struck here because the quality price ratio was on the negative side. Perhaps to hold down prices... More

Thanks for the comment. All opinions are valid for the improvement of our service. All ingredients are carefully selected for the preparation of our meals. All our dishes are made-up "on time" which sometimes makes the service a bit slow, but it's the only way to ensure a good quilting. We were saddened by can not satisfy you. We inform... More

We make a point of eating at this restaurant each time we visit Viana. Our last visit was in July and I had mussels to start - best I've ever had. For main course I had fillet of veal which was excellent. O Pescador is a small intimate restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and great staff.
