One of the best Francesinha in oporto

Forget about the decoration, forget about the fancy tables, here in Bufete Fase it’s all about the flavor. And Flavour it’s very important when you talk about this tradional oporto dish, the Francesinha is very good, and the sauce it’s one of the best I’ve ever tasted, although it have some... read more

After searching for this place for ages I found the food first class but I was disappointed at the high price for a back Street cafe would I eat here again yes but only if it was the only place open. It has reportedly the best francensiha in porto and it was superb but I have had some equally as... More

The best Francesinha in Porto. This restaurant has the best Francesinha I have ever eaten. It is run by a couple, and the husband makes the food and the wife serves the table. They are very friendly and its a great experience. If you want to know what a real frncesinha is all about you have to eat at this... More

I am always suspicious of restaurants with large menus, and it's great to see bufete fase do one thing only because they do it well. You have two choices here, what to drink and whether you want your francesinha spicy or not, other than that you get what you're given. Go out of main eating hours or be prepared for... More

The only thing they know how to cook is Francesinha. That´s why they prepare it and serve it so well. Which they do it with all their love. Bufete Fase is a very tiny small restaurant in Santa Catarina St., where you have to go early to find a free table out of the only four they have. And only... More

"Francesinha": the most traditional dish from Porto. The discussion about what is the best one is always open!!! "Bufete fase" is a place full of tradition that maintain the awesome quality from approximately 30 years, when it opened. A peculiarity about this restaurant is that it only had 4 small tables that could fit 8 to a maximum of 9... More

excelent francesinhas yes but very poor service. Very few drinks. Long wait 30 min to eat. Too hot inside. No ventilation. No other dishes than francesinha. Just that. Very little space. No desserts. No starts. Go there just if you like francesinha. Don't expect more.

Francesinha is one of the most traditional dishes from Porto and the discussion about what is the best one could take hours or days. I decided to talk about BUFETE FASE because it is a unique spot full of tradition and to respect the tradition they keep the structure of the business always small, just to maintain the awesome quality... We had for 11€ one francesinha, one beer and some French fries. It was very delicious! The whole dish is enough for 2 people ;)

Went there early as I read there would be a lineup. There was. It's a cool place to try out the classic Porto dish Francesinha and to visit a different part of town. It's also kind of cool to feel like you're part of a secret handshake club. Recommended!
