The sight of long plastic topped bar counters, with swivel stools for diners, is what struck us as we stepped through the door. The pace was busy and we squeezed around a small table in a corner, very close to a wine cooler cabinet. This seems to be a place for single men to eat in the evening. Many of them, when... More

Pretty good food. Interesting francesinha. Looked funky but sure is nice to try something new. At least something different.

Awesome location outside of the city with more of the local scene. Great service and a gray Francesinha to boot. Will be back this week to spend some time trying desserts due to its convenient location by our hotel.

If you stay in the North of the city then try out this local institution. It´s really "old school" and the staff are very friendly and there are a lot of them. It gets very busy on Sunday when lots of local families flock in. They do a very good Francesinha. You always get offered plenty of extra sauce! I´ve... More

Chamico was conveniently located close to our B & B just north of Constituicao Street. We entered the restaurant at 20:30 which was early for Portugese diners. We ate dinner there both nights in Porto; everything was delicious and well-prepared. It also was reasonable in price.

Our host at the Residencia Lis around the corner recommended this place, and we certainly were not disappointed. Mainly Porto regional dishes, very nicely prepared and very reasonably priced.excellent attentive service from trained waiters. Seemed to be plenty of stuff available 'off the menu'. For example, where else could you share half a turbot with your partner for just €19.95... More

Only advantage is its open until late. Place to go to watch Football on tv and have a beer. Food is not always in the same standard

We saw this place on passing, while looking for others we'd seen on this road on the internet but were closed on a Sunday night. which were near our apartment. There seemed plenty of locals in so we gave it a try. The waiter spoke no English, and we found him to be from the Manuel/Basil Fawlty school of service.... More

My favorite nearby restaurant. The food is good and affordable. Their English is not great, but take a sit in the bar and grap a seafood dish like most of the locals and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. They have great cake for desert as well and one piece can easily be shared by two.
