On the first floor of a historical site in Porto's downtown, recently opened a small quiet restaurant, called Camafeu. Go back to the times where you had a meal at your grandparent's place, where the decor was romantic but eclectic and where you can indulge yourself on mouth-watering but not-pretentious food.At dinner time, you are invited to stay for a late drink and enjoy, through the big windows, the scenery of the square bellow (Praca Carlos Alberto, named after our late King). We invite you to try the tender Sirloin steak or the Duck with figg jam, or the Prawn porridge among other fabulous appetizers and main-courses. Everybody will love our home-made desserts. Don't forget to ask for the famous Portuguese wine from the Douro region, either it's Port, White or Red.

Our cab driver had a hard time finding the restaurant because it's upstairs and not well marked outside. Once inside it was pleasant with very good food. Sorry I didn't take notes on the meal but it is worth eating here.

Delicious restaurant with warm and welcoming staff. The plates were typical Portuguese with a nice twist. My friends and I had a lovely evening and I would definitely go back. Obrigado!

One of the best restaurants that i´ve been already! My wife took me there on my birthday and it was wonderfull.I´ve never eaten so good. Perfect starters (many types of cheese), a delicous Tonic Port wine and the best octopus i´ve already tasted! And the desserts?! Try the mix of all of them, it´s possible!!! No words to describe it,... More

Very nice and charming French style-restaurant. Good quality food, romantic setting, and qualified staff. Prices are somewhat higher than average in Porto, but definitely recommended

Great little and charming restaurant in Porto ! Rather international food with some traditional Portuguese dishes. The staff was very friendly, always a smile on their face. Very tasteful food, beautifully presented. A bit on the pricey side especially for Porto but a very nice option for an intimate romantic occasion !

Cosy, romantic restaurant, ideal for couples or small groups of friends that are not too noisy. Excelent Menu with traditional portuguese cuisine with a modern touch and great presentation. Great Wine list and a very good price-quality rating. I highly recommend it for portuguese people or foreigners staying in the city of Porto. Very central to the hub of bars... More
