Great food, funny staff

Funny bot not as "laughable". The middle aged waiters do not take note of the orders at all, we went twice to the place on the same week (because, in all fairness, the food is fantastic), and our orders got mixed or the waiter forgot something. We had a good time listening to them trying to... read more

When we first arrived in Porto, Antunes was on the shortlist to visit. Antunes is located on a curved street very near the Rue da Santa Carina and Trindade station. De restaurant was easy to find, a bit at the back of the street, a bit lonely amongst some other empty store windows. We made a successful reservation last minute,... More

Arrived on a Friday night without reservation and it was suggested that we eat in a large empty room. We declined and after 5 minutes wait at the bar we were seated in the main busy room. All was done in good humour and politeness. Very few tourists and very friendly staff. We shared the "pork knuckles" speciality. It is... More

This is a popular restaurant with a relatively short menu, varying through the week (many dishes are only available on certain days of the week), some of which are also available in half portion size - an option worth considering, since the full portion of veal which I had, although excellent, was more than I could manage, and I finished... We had a really disappointing meal here for several reasons; Apparently the only place we could be seated at was right in front of the toilets underneath a television. There were other tables but notvavailablev(to us) We should have bailed at this point but persevered and ordered mains of pork knuckle on recommendation and tuna steak. The pork knuckle is... More

The food here is amazing from the 'pork knee' (a large hunk of pork leg shared between two) to the fresh fried fish and home made desserts, all the food and drink we had here was amazing. It is a relatively small restaurant which filled with locals (a great sign) were queued out of the door after about 8 so... More

This restaraunt had very good customer service to start. We where seated without a reservation for 4 plus a baby. Every other table was packed and had a reservation. The pork dish was wonderful and the potatoes where cooked with the meat so you can imagine. Lots of wine and one beer to choose from. The fish left a little... More

We were advised to go here by a guy working in our b&b, which was good because the restaurant is in a less touristic area. We had some fish cakes and samosas for starters, which were delicious. Then as a main course we shared the famous pernil (smoked pork knee), half the people in the restaurant ordered this :-) and... More

This place was a great place for a large hearty meal - they had 1 guy who spoke good English, the other waiter did not speak any and we had a lot of fun trying to make ourselves understood! The food was delicious and plentiful, however be aware there are no vegetarian options. We had a vegetarian in our group... More
