This is a popular restaurant with a relatively short menu, varying through the week (many dishes are only available on certain days of the week), some of which are also available in half portion size - an option worth considering, since the full portion of veal which I had, although excellent, was more than I could manage, and I finished... We had a really disappointing meal here for several reasons; Apparently the only place we could be seated at was right in front of the toilets underneath a television. There were other tables but notvavailablev(to us) We should have bailed at this point but persevered and ordered mains of pork knuckle on recommendation and tuna steak. The pork knuckle is... More

The food here is amazing from the 'pork knee' (a large hunk of pork leg shared between two) to the fresh fried fish and home made desserts, all the food and drink we had here was amazing. It is a relatively small restaurant which filled with locals (a great sign) were queued out of the door after about 8 so... More

This restaraunt had very good customer service to start. We where seated without a reservation for 4 plus a baby. Every other table was packed and had a reservation. The pork dish was wonderful and the potatoes where cooked with the meat so you can imagine. Lots of wine and one beer to choose from. The fish left a little... More

We were advised to go here by a guy working in our b&b, which was good because the restaurant is in a less touristic area. We had some fish cakes and samosas for starters, which were delicious. Then as a main course we shared the famous pernil (smoked pork knee), half the people in the restaurant ordered this :-) and... More

This place was a great place for a large hearty meal - they had 1 guy who spoke good English, the other waiter did not speak any and we had a lot of fun trying to make ourselves understood! The food was delicious and plentiful, however be aware there are no vegetarian options. We had a vegetarian in our group... More

We chosed this restaurant from the turist guide because we were inspired from the review. This restaurant, 15 minute walk far from the city centre, is attended mostly from local people. Coming inside you come back in seventies. Simple familiar and genuine atmosphere. No english spoken but with menu and gesture it was simple to order. Everyone is here to... More

Antunes is located on a relatively quiet street of Porto in between Trindade and Bolhao stations. We went around half 8, and by 9 the place was packed with locals! You should make a reservation to be safe! We had the pork knee/knuckle (Pernil) and it was really delicious!! A huge portion for 2 for just 15 euros (making it... More

This restaurant is in my opinion one restaurant as many others restaurants, that the food doesn't as any special flavor or characteristic. If you're around Porto there are to many options, that this one is probably not a great one. Didn't liked the experience and will not repeat.

Brilliant! Arrived at 10pm, got served a beer and cocktail while waiting! Absolutely packed out and the staff were very attentive despite being so busy. Great starters, samosas and cod fish cakes. The veal main course was superb and a great local wine list at very reasonable prices. If you find yourself in Porto this place is a must visit.... More
