Description: WELCOME. BIENVENUE. WILCOMEN. BIENVENIDOS. BENVENUTTI. After two years of hard work, you´ll find a homey and unique 19th century place, just in front of River Douro. Quiet, welcoming and rustic. Where wine and food are the excuse to forget the world, and to enjoy the moment. Tasting wines and eating excellent Portuguese food, in a relaxing environment, with selected music. Our aim is to make you feel at home. An open kitchen where we love what we do to whom we do. About 100 Portuguese wines (15 by the glass). A Wine and Grocery store where one can buy the best artisan jams and biscuits, as well as the wines in the list. Far from confusion, protected and exposed, we do an ODE to the Wine, to the city, and to the consumer.

I was served the best lamb that I have ever eaten. Very smart to separately serve the curry and rice and let you envelope the three yourself -- this way you can savour the excellence of the lamb on its own and the preparation of it to perfection. Bravo!

We tried to eat here a few times, but managed to get the timing wrong and they were closed. Third time lucky and we were fortunate to have the ground floor room all to ourselves - like a private dining room for 8. Fabulous cocktails preceded our delicious dinner. Generous service and amazing food makes it feel like you're a... More

We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great meal. The menu is a fresh take on classic ideas. The service was excellent and accommodated our lack of Portuguese. The wine recommendations were just as good. Ode is a part of the slow food movement but this did not mean long waits or slow service. Well worth a... More

It started with a call back: I tried to phone ODE in the morning for a reservation, the place was closed , no one picked up, I did not leave a msg. In the afternoon my UK mobile rung: it was ODE calling me back. Of course I made the reservation. When we arrived , seated and were given the... More

Good food, but really nothing special and certainly not measuring up to all the hype the restaurant gives itself. I mean, you get a letter with literary quotes and bold claims of excellence the moment you sit down, then someone gives you a bowl of about 6 tiny olives and expects you to fall at their feet when they tell... I had lunch here with clients here and had a great (positive) surprise. Great food, a fantastic host (the owner) who explained everything about the sourcing of all the ingredients, the recipes. All topped with a great traditional decoration gave us the feeling of going back in time!

Visited this restaurant 20th November 2014 after reading on Tripadvisor that it was not to be missed. Really pleased that we managed to get a table as the meal and overall experience was exceptional. The restaurant itself has a real charm about it and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We sat upstairs and the atmosphere there was brilliant, our waiter... More

We came at ODE on our first night in Porto and We were immediately surprised by owner's kindness. We seated upstairs, in a small and romantic room with a beautiful view of Louis I bridge and river Douro. We ordered soup, pie and fillet: everything great and good presented. Food was excellent and staff was very thoughtful so We spent... More

The right way to enjoy the great Portuguese wines accompanied by nice a well served food. Kindness, passion and professionalism makes the right date in Porto. Prices a bit above expected but the atmosphere you breathe there makes you pay with a smile, will smile more if credit cards accepted.
