WELCOME. BIENVENUE. WILCOMEN. BIENVENIDOS. BENVENUTTI. After two years of hard work, you´ll find a homey and unique 19th century place, just in front of River Douro. Quiet, welcoming and rustic. Where wine and food are the excuse to forget the world, and to enjoy the moment. Tasting wines and eating excellent Portuguese food, in a relaxing environment, with selected music. Our aim is to make you feel at home. An open kitchen where we love what we do to whom we do. About 100 Portuguese wines (15 by the glass). A Wine and Grocery store where one can buy the best artisan jams and biscuits, as well as the wines in the list. Far from confusion, protected and exposed, we do an ODE to the Wine, to the city, and to the consumer.

It is tucked away in a rustic stone building just off the banks of the Douro River, cozily protected from the hustle bustle of this downtown location. The wait staff has that Nobu/Armani look, clad in dark outfits, perfectly in command of the English language as they spin a tasty tale of culinary delights. Beware that those "starters" they place... We were fortunate enough to be brought to ODE by some new friends we met on our trip to Porto. The experience was unparalleled. The food, wine, atmosphere, and service were all completely perfect. Time truly stops in this place. The wine consultant, Miguel, is a master, and he provided us with the best service we have ever experienced. The... More

Reserve in advance!! We were seated at the first floor. It was almost a private meal. The owner itself explained us the great selection of the menu and suggested some great wines of good cost-benefit. Food and service were terrific in an amazing atmosphere. Staff seemed very concerned about our satisfaction. We stayed for almost 3 hours and we left... More

Make a reservation - it is worth it! My husband and I visited ODE upon the recommendation from our wine tour guide Miguel (who even setup our reservation for us). When you arrive, you need to knock on the door to be let in. We were then led upstairs to this cute table that was in front of the window... More

Very friendly place. Food excellent. All local ingredients and the waiter very keen to explain where everything came from and how it was cooked. Interesting dishes, Portuguese or Portuguese inspired (Goan curry, Brazilian stew). Great wine list. Waiter so keen that could compare the wine we had chosen with the one he recommended that he gave us a free glass... More

This is truly a special restaurant. You are never rushed during the meal. The sommelier was excellent, just tell him what you are having and leave it to him. Great food, great service and wonderful ambiance.

Beautiful restaurant, small and with a good location. Serves local wines and the waiter could give a lot of information about the wine and the food.

Recommended by the hotel. I had the octopus and it was by far the most tender I've ever had. Fabulous choice of Portuguese wines. A very enjoyable evening.

For those with an open mind and a spirit of adventure, an unforgettable culinary journey awaits you. It's not simply the delectable dishes. Our dinner began with aromatic bread, cheeses, and olives, and an exquisite olive oil from a nearby region, whose name literally means "Behind the Mountains." A regional specialty of eel stew was both hearty and subtle, and... More
