Description: WELCOME. BIENVENUE. WILCOMEN. BIENVENIDOS. BENVENUTTI. After two years of hard work, you´ll find a homey and unique 19th century place, just in front of River Douro. Quiet, welcoming and rustic. Where wine and food are the excuse to forget the world, and to enjoy the moment. Tasting wines and eating excellent Portuguese food, in a relaxing environment, with selected music. Our aim is to make you feel at home. An open kitchen where we love what we do to whom we do. About 100 Portuguese wines (15 by the glass). A Wine and Grocery store where one can buy the best artisan jams and biscuits, as well as the wines in the list. Far from confusion, protected and exposed, we do an ODE to the Wine, to the city, and to the consumer.

The right way to enjoy the great Portuguese wines accompanied by nice a well served food. Kindness, passion and professionalism makes the right date in Porto. Prices a bit above expected but the atmosphere you breathe there makes you pay with a smile, will smile more if credit cards accepted.

Our hotel (Intercontinental) suggested ODE and made our reservations for us. The restaurant has two floors where the lower floor is for the kitchen and waiting for your table and the upper is the restaurant for dining. The upper floor only holds space for 20 diner's. This is not a minus, but a very nice plus point. This provides a... More

We ate here on a lovely warm evening. We were given a window table upstairs which had a beautiful view of the river etc. The food was good but not outstanding. The stand-out dish was the lamb curry which I wasn't expecting to see in Portugal but turned out to be delicately flavoured and delicious. The wine was a little... More

What can you say about this place that other reviewers have not already stated: Wow! With limited seating and a great warm location this place was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We turned up without a reservation on a friday night without a reservation when the place was completely full and the owner (most likely upon... More

I was planning an engadgement dinner with my family and I found this restaurant on this page. After the reviews I decided to choose this one. I reserved a table for 8 person. Because of the size of the restaurant we had to choose in advance. When we arrived the waitors showed our table. It was amazing, it was very... More

We happened upon ODE on our first day in Porto. We decided to give it a try, knowing nothing about the menu or its reputation. We were very fortunate that it was a slow evening and they were able to seat us without a reservation. The place filled up though, and the staff, always attentive, was very busy all evening.... This is a slow food restaurant where everything is cooked to order . The food and service were excellent especially the vegetable souffle . It was the second best restaurant we encountered during our week in Portugal. I did find it strange in this day and age that they will not accept credit cards only cash.

I first visited ODE in October 2011 and was blown away by the style, quality of food and personal service. It was just such a surprise! 3 years on I returned with high expectations and was not disappointed. Christopher (the owner) was a personable as I remembered and the food was outstanding. Fortunately, I only have to wait 4 days... More

This has to be one of the better dining experiences in the world. As the sign on the door says, if you are looking for a fast meal then go elsewhere. Also you are required to make a reservation it seems as they have very limited space and do not try and crowd in as many people as possible. I... More
