WELCOME. BIENVENUE. WILCOMEN. BIENVENIDOS. BENVENUTTI. After two years of hard work, you´ll find a homey and unique 19th century place, just in front of River Douro. Quiet, welcoming and rustic. Where wine and food are the excuse to forget the world, and to enjoy the moment. Tasting wines and eating excellent Portuguese food, in a relaxing environment, with selected music. Our aim is to make you feel at home. An open kitchen where we love what we do to whom we do. About 100 Portuguese wines (15 by the glass). A Wine and Grocery store where one can buy the best artisan jams and biscuits, as well as the wines in the list. Far from confusion, protected and exposed, we do an ODE to the Wine, to the city, and to the consumer.

Wonderful food experience. The staff are very attentive and polite. The food although a small menu is superb. Every dish was an experience and enjoyed by our party of five. They have an excellent wine menu with some real blow out bottles if you wish. Ours are more modest tastes but we felt no pressure when choosing from the lower... More

We enjoyed a special evening at this restaurant. The service was attentive and the food good although slightly not living up the description. The setting is ideal for a romantic dinner in an old building however their was a lack of atmosphere when we attended

Recommended by other chefs -local specialities but modern take on them, such as salt cod with just a hint of salt. Wine waiter keen to suggest different wines but very sensible about price! The chef came to talk to the diners.our party ranged in age from 20 to 80 and in between and we all enjoyed it .

We found this place after walking around the waterfront and looking for a little something different...everything was perfect: atmosphere, service, food, wine... We did not have a reservation but we're lucky to have gotton a table. Sat upstairs, stone walls, about 6 tables, timbered ceiling. We had fillet-able to cut with fork, other had octopus, and eel. Everyone felt it... More

As the reviews all say, this is one, if not, the best restaurant in Porto, you get quality food, quality service and bundles of taste. It is 'fine' dining and the prices reflect this compared to other restaurants in Porto but you would pay a lot more for this type of cuisine anywhere else in England. A quality three course... More

We were lucky enough to wander by just when they opened at 7pm. We were famished from traveling all day and wanted to eat. Eat, We Did. The starters were fabulous and Miguel, our server, was wonderful His knowledge of wine was tremendous. We had half the menu and it was grand. No dessert for obvious reasons. Service was prompt,... A very smart well designed and decorated excellent restaurant near the River. All the staff were very professional and smart as well as knowledgeable A very intimate restaurant without being crammed in and attentive service. All our dishes were excellent A general rant- why in a smart high class restaurant do people dine there looking as if they have just... More

This place knows what they are doing - truly unforgettable. The ambiance in the private room we had was the best part of this experience - really felt like "old portugal" - breathtaking!
