WELCOME. BIENVENUE. WILCOMEN. BIENVENIDOS. BENVENUTTI. After two years of hard work, you´ll find a homey and unique 19th century place, just in front of River Douro. Quiet, welcoming and rustic. Where wine and food are the excuse to forget the world, and to enjoy the moment. Tasting wines and eating excellent Portuguese food, in a relaxing environment, with selected music. Our aim is to make you feel at home. An open kitchen where we love what we do to whom we do. About 100 Portuguese wines (15 by the glass). A Wine and Grocery store where one can buy the best artisan jams and biscuits, as well as the wines in the list. Far from confusion, protected and exposed, we do an ODE to the Wine, to the city, and to the consumer.

It was great. From the moment you enter you understand that everything is cared in the minumum details. From the waiters which are kind and hospital until the moment you leave when they book a taxi. The food was good and genuine, as described in the menu with a modern touch. I had codfish and I got nothing to say,... More

If I had to choose the top fine dining Restaurant in Portugal-no question this is it. Not just because the food is smart, fun, playful, authentic, original, beautiful and honest but layer this Chefs experience and gifted hands with perfect ingredients and you've got the recipe for one of the best dining experiences in our travels. The food and service were terrific. The service people were so attentive and caring. This is how all restaurants should be. The food was gourmet in nature with spectacular presentation. You will not go wrong going to this restaurant for a dinner. The restaurant is in a beautiful 240 year old building with the tables arranged for privacy and some... More

I was on a Wednesday evening in this delightful restaurant. Small but nice. The front desk was very friendly and attentive. My table was reserved at the newly renovated top floor. The waiters are all very friendly (sometimes almost too much). The food was of a very high level. I had a sausage with mango as a starter, main course... More

We had dinner twice at Ode, and once at top rated O Paparico, recently. Both are excellent, but we think Ode is best. The food at Ode is supernal. The service is overwhelmingly kind and generous. We went back to Ode a second time, The food was so good that we wanted to try additional entrees. We found that the... More

Everything about this restaurant is elegant and charming - superb service in a wonderful setting, real attention to detail and a passion for everything from Portugal. We enjoyed everything we chose and were delighted with the wines recommended to us. Chatting to the owner after our meal it became clear how much the restaurant means to him and how passionate... I tend to avoid surprises when I travel. I plan well and usually succeed in having a pleasant time with good food and comfortable accommodation. The weekend before last I went to Porto with the wonderful new lady in my life. Long story, but Friday evening we ended up hungry but with no reservation and no place in mind. My... More

The door of the restaurant was locked when we arrived and as I pushed on it I was observed from inside and we managed to get a table. This seems to be a popular restaurant and a several people were turned away afterwards because it was full. We were only able to have a small table and stools at the... More
