Visited here for lunch. Amazing food and value. Paid 18 euro for a whole BBQ chicken with French fries and delicious salad, a bottle of wine and bread. Seldom have had value like it and would highly recommend. Authentic, pleasant and real Portugese. The grilled fish looked beautiful. Mainly used by locals so you know it's the real thing. Check... If you want to experience real Portuguese cousin with real Portuguese people this is the place. Do not expect high cuisine - it is down to earth! Soup verde for a starter and chicken for a main course + botle of vino verde = Great experience :)

Came upon this place by chance but see that others have reviewed favorably. Not much to draw you in from the outside except the chicken on the rotisserie in the window. But do go in - good honest fare and very cheap. Chicken and fries delicious.

Put all your preconceptions about restaurants aside and step into a world of strip lighting, TV's showing football and customers sitting cheek to jowl on formica table tops. Doesn't sound like fun? The food will change your mind! In a not particularly solubrious part of Porto sits a simple grilled chicken restaurant. Me and the other half started with delicious... More

Porto is my city so I heard about this restaurant before. It's just good good good. A typical restaurant in Porto, famous for its chicken. I had the chicken with fries, a spunch of hot sauce (piri piri) all over it and the cheap and gorgeous house wine. Simple, cheap and gorgeous.

We reached the restaurant at about 6.30 pm and it was already fairly packed with local families and couples. Their grilled chicken is very good -- crispy skin with succulent meat. Probably Porto's best grilled chicken restaurant (read my other grilled chicken recommendation in Lisbon if you are also going there). Please do not order the grilled fish as it... More

After our taxi driver last night recommended this restaurant we got to our hotel and looked it up on trip advisor and thought for our last night we would give it a try - what a great restaurant! Bargain bill to please us at the end.... I would suggest going for the house wine; it comes in a jug and... More

We stopped at this spot after seeing the dozens of rotisserie chickens spinning in the windowfront. We sat at the bar and the waiters (once we found some who spoke English) were helpful, kind, and funny. The chicken was great, fresh, juicy and delicious, and who doesn't love fresh French Fries? The price was great as well.
