Unbelievable value

It isn't the most stylish of places but that said you don't go to a restaurant to admire the decor! There is a counter service on the ground floor and the restaurant is on the upper floors. It's essentially a chicken shop but it does have other options on the menu. I've been told that the octopus... read more

We love this place. We visit Porto often and we pretty much always come here on our first night. For no real reason, we have taken to eating at Pedro II which is on the right-hand side of the street as you walk up the hill. It's uncomplicated but it's perfect - little startery bits and bobs (this time round... More

The place to go if you are travelling on a budget. Good sized portion, and juicy chicken. I was a little bit disappointed after reading very good things about the place online. The chicken was average/good, but nothing more. To the price however it was very good. Paid 5.90 for a portion of chicken with chips and a bottle of... More

i had heard about this place and that the chicken was to die for and it was. the place was packed when i arrived about 2 pm, not a table left and full of locals so i knew the food was going to be great. i ordered half a chicken and chips and this was only 8.50 euro!!!!! (and a... More

As a long standing fan of portuguese chicken restaurants I must say that this is one of the best I have visited. Great quality chicken at unbelievable prices. No frills, just genuine portuguese cooking. This restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Porto.

Don't let the exterior fool you - this is a great spot to stop for dinner (and it could cost you less than the pastries an cappuccino you had for breakfast).... The Chicken is a must! Listed in English as "Chicken on a Skewer" you think that you'd get a shish-kabob of some kind, but thanks to some friendly South... More

Absolutely the most delicious chicken in Porto! Really easy set up! If you go to the restaurant try to go early because we did go when it first opened but then around 7.30 there was literally a line down the stairs for the restaurant! No dramas if you want to get take away. The staff are friendly and can speak... More

Situated just off Praca da Liberdade this is the real deal. A tight little restaurant on three floors. You can eat at the counter on the ground floor or go upstairs for a sit down table service option. We visited twice, once for lunch and once in the evening, and the place was busy both times. They specialise in chicken... More

My boyfriend and I wanted a 'real' piri piri chicken experience and we found this little place. It is really fantastic! We queued up with the locals for a takeaway. We shared a whole chicken with chips for only 6 euros. It was delicious: the chicken was moist, the hot sauce was perfect and the chips still tasted of potato.

Great traditional Portuguese chicken. Make sure you go upstairs to where the restaurant is. Plenty of space up there. Great prices. Left satisfied! 😋
