I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Everything is made to make you feel comfortable and there are several delicious details from the fact that you have to knock since the door is always closed to the decoration imitating an old Portuguese house. I fully recommend it.

A long bus ride and an ordinary not very appealing exterior and then you are welcomed into this delightful place of pleasure and exceptional food. They seem to really want you to have a good evening. Such attentive and friendly staff! The food is truly excellent.Very good prawn starter. A great pork dish. The wine that was recommended was superb.... More

I make no apologies for having both experience as a chef - a restaurant owner and a hotelier plus - travelled and eaten at some of the best places in the world - so that doesn't make me a 'smarty pants' but it does provide a lot of experience to make objective comparisons with. Food - service - ambience -... More

Although situated quite a long way out of the town centre it is easily accessible by taxi at a cost of only 6 euros - the restaurant is unnamed and you need to knock on the door for entry . The service was excellent and we were well looked after - the whole experience was very special - you are... More

The restaurant is like going back in time with the stone walls and antique fixtures. The staff was very friendly, the sommelier knowledgeable and the food amazing. The only problem is it may be difficult to get a table. The first night we wanted was fully booked but they fit us in the next night. It was great to arrive... More

We were four adults having dinner at this cosy restaurant last night. Dinner consisted of a range of Portuguese specialities, including "bacalau" and "polvo", goat butter, duck liver terrine, pork fillet and grilled veal etc. Everything was very well prepared an presented. The food was surprisingly low priced for this excellent quality. We drank excellent Portuguese wines recommended by the... More

Paparico is sort of hidden in the suburban outskirts of Porto... If you are not familiar with the area, take a cab or make sure your GPS is working before you attempt to drive there. Don't expect a big sign and grand entrance... look for a door with a knocker at the address you will get when you make reservations.... More

This is one of the finest restaurants in Porto. A mix of traditional and modern with very good food, a splendid wine chart (even if some items are missing...), and a warm welcome from the staff, very attentive, all the way through the dinner. This is really an experience to repeat.

Thanks to other reviewers we knew to expect no signage outside but to be fair there is a menu and opening hours next to the door so we knew we were in the right place. We arrived a bit early but were made to feel welcome and given a glass of lemon water and then asked if we would like... More
