Tucked in a little alley near the Ribeiro river front, A Grade serves great tasting Portuguese food in large portions. This is a family run restaurant and the hospitality the owners poured on us made us feel very at home, more like eating in their home than dining at a restaurant. Highly recommended to anyone who wishes to eat delicious... More

First meal in Porto! We started with starters of Octopus so soft it melted in my mouth. The cod croquette was also tasty. For mains, we had the breaded cod which was a bit tough, too much oil and salty; and the Octopus tentacle which was delicious! Wine was good also, and because it was my bday, I was given... More

Probably the best meal we had in Portugal. We had the potato cabbage soup and the roast pork, both were wonderful. The owner was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this, but be sure to have reservations as they only have 4 tables inside.

Traditional Portuguese food in a tiny restaurant. Portions are large for the price and food was tasty, but not exceptional.

Very small restaurant with an excellent kitchen. I did not find a daily menu. But an easy main dish costs 10 Euro, a very fine main dish costs 15-20 Euro. The people are very familary, they speak a little bit english and grandmother cooks. Traditionell Portugese kitchen for an affordable price.

This was on our list after a day of walking in the Ribeira section of town and we had fortunately made reservations. This family-run place is quite small and extremely busy. The father does the cooking; the mother was washing dishes; son was a most delightful waiter/host for the evening; his wife normally works in the restaurant but was about... More

This is a tiny restaurant in a tiny alley way. I would never have gone down this alley and wouldn't have stopped there if it hadn't been recommended by a local. Very nice service and the arroz con mariscos was delicious.

We were walking away from the tourist spots in Porto and happened upon this small restaurant in an alley way. We overheard a waitress trying to speak English to a couple so this peaked my interest. The posted menu was next to a Tripadvisor sign so we decided to stay. As someone who's first language is Portuguese I started speaking... More

Our hotel recommended this wonderful small restaurant, doesn't seat very many so reservations are strongly suggested. As with most Portuguese restaurants this started with olives and great breads. We had some small aps and then tried the rabbit and the kid. Both were outstanding and came with more than enough side dishes, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, a rice dish and... More
