Duo of Octopus

We stopped by in the morning to make a reservation for dinner. Good thing, as people were constantly being turned away during the evening. We ordered the fried octopus filet and baked octopus. The fried octopus filets were good, but the baked octopus fantastic. The wait staff was helpful and... read more

This place does fish right. It doesn't need anything more special than that. We were told to get the baked Octopus here, so we did, and it was the best we had on a 10 day trip through Lisbon (including a few places that grilled it in front of us). The restaurant itself is a tiny place with a lot... More

This restaurant shouldn't be listed in the lonely planet guide as a top choice as its diabolical! We booked a table for four for a Saturday night and turned up to be told rudley 'wait on the pavement outside' , no offer of a drink or how long our table would be. 15 minutes later still no avail of our... After reading good reviews on trip-advisor we decided to give this place a go. I booked a table on the Thursday evening for the Saturday, our last night. The table was booked for 2030, we turned up about 2020. I informed the waiter of our arrival, he said can you wait in the street on a large slab of stone... More

This restaurant is run by a sweet couple, and you can be sure that much of the food is made like mama would like it to be. But I found it a bit oily and heavy, but delicious. I had the octopus and rice, which I enjoyed, even though it was slightly on the heavy side.

We arrived early at 6pm and had the place to ourselves. This is a very small, family restaurant perched high up in a tiny street, right next to the river. We had the best Caldo verde (soup made with kale and potatoes) and the absolute best octopus. I took the grilled octopus and my wife had the fillet of octopus.... More

I could eat the salad de tomato here every day. Our party of four had two types of fish with a vinho rosado. The proprietor/server was cheerful and did a good job of accommodating tourists who spoke little of his language.

enjoyed our frist meal in portugal at this family run palce that was very busy on a friday night. Located close to the riberia it is a small easy to miss restaurant that is run by the family. Food is very fresh, goat melted in your mouth, fish extremely fresh and the service very friendly.

the foods were really good! They serve small plates of some fish etc which were so tasty as well so we ended up paying quite a lot of money compared to other places though. It's just really difficult not to eat those small dishes when served...
