Sit outside and enjoy the people watching. Sardines are good, lots of local flavor. Mom and pop kind of place with authentic food.

As other tourists, we found the adress in the Lonely Planet. We had to wait, but we were not in a hurry. Pleasant waiter, but... as in many other restaurants in Portugal, appertizers are proposed, that you are free to accept or refuse. You have to know that here, an appertizer is 3.5€. We took different fish/seafood. Quality is just... More

Recommended by Lonely Planet, this restauran left me quite disappointed. Pasta was overcooked and with not a lot of seafood, everithing seemed very normal. Position is good, nice staff.

Our first night in Porto and our innkeepers recommended A Grade. And what a find it is. A small family run restaurant with little English spoken - our problem not theirs - but the salad and roast veal was outstanding. Great service and clearly a place in high demand so be sure to make a reservation. You won't re great... More

The food is truly great, I particularly recomend the roasted octopus, but, not only it is hard to find a table, given that the place is minimal, but it has also grown acostumed to serving mostly tourists, which makes for higher prices than it should have. Nonetheless, the food will not disapoint in the slightest.

After having had a fabulous meal last here we ate here on two occasions during our long weekend stay in Porto. My partner again enjoyed the roast baby goat on the first evening and I had the roast veal. The second time my partner had the steak and I had the roast pork. It was very tasty but I did... More

We spent 10 days in Porto and had five meals at A Grade. We found it a fun place to eat and we enjoyed the food.. Did not have a problem getting a table for lunch but you need to book for dinner. That can be an interesting experience as the owner only speaks Portuguese. It is a family run... More

We went there because we liked it the last time we visit. But this time the owner was incredibly rude. We made a reservation, when we got there the owner said that the restaurant was full!! when we complained he just ordered us to leave and kicked us out! incredible!!

We were prompted to visit AGrade having read the TA reviews. I think our expectations were probably rather high. While we are not health freaks we found all our main dishes were served with a great deal of oil which took the edge off a fine piece of octopus (for example). This is a traditional Portuguese restaurant with friendly and... More

We had a great experience in "a grade": both the seafood and the meat were delicious and the menu offers a good choise of local wines. Following the Portuguese tradition, the starters are brought without asking, we paid 15€ for all of them (4 people) and were fantastic (sardines, octopus and codfish). The owner is a funny man that won't... More
