We had a great experience in "a grade": both the seafood and the meat were delicious and the menu offers a good choise of local wines. Following the Portuguese tradition, the starters are brought without asking, we paid 15€ for all of them (4 people) and were fantastic (sardines, octopus and codfish). The owner is a funny man that won't... More

This is a well-located little restaurant in the Ribeira district, with about six tables inside and a couple outside on a small terrace on the street. We were seated on a shared table outside, despite having made a reservation. Food was good - excellent fresh sea food and service was friendly and quick. However, 15€ for sea bass was expensive... We had diner there 3 times during our stay in Porto. Food is very good, traditional and healthy. They have a very good choice of wines. Hospitality is a trademark of the restaurant. Service is professional and friendly. Perfectly located. Family owned. I highly recommend it.

This is a small and cozy restaurant (at least during the weekday we visited it) run by a mum and dad and the food actually gives that "homey" feeling. The "baccalhau" dishes and the sea food spaghetti we tried were just perfect, the portions were more than enough, and the house wine very good. When we had to wait for... More

One of the best codfishes I ate in Portugal and incredible octupus salad. The restaurante is owned by a family and they are very helpful and kind of funny. A very good choice in Porto.

Following our daughter's wedding in Lisbon, a group of 6 of us travelled on to Porto. Traditional Portuguese cooking of high quality--octopus was delectable--fish ( bream or sea bass ) perfectly cooked and simply presented--good wine list with lots of Douro choices. The complimentary brandy at meals finish was enjoyed by all.

We had two lovely meals at A Grade. Really enjoyed the true traditional Portuguese food at a very reasonable price.

I've been looking forward to my gastronomic experience in Portugal for such a long time and " A Grade" restaurant was the best out of it! Baked octopus served with boiled potatoes and spinach was mouthwatering! A glass of refreshing superb vinho verde with it just just made my day int he beautiful city of Porto!

Located down near the Ribiero (warf area) of Porto, this is a nice little place on a quiet side street. We enjoyed a very lovely octopus appetizer and we both tried the lovely cod cake and the potato kale soup. Our entrees were excellent goat and rabbit dishes -- simply prepared but very good. The lime tart was excellent. All... More
