...is what A Grade felt like. The food was simple and REAL...hot and fresh and with only about 10 tables, an intimate experience of portuguese "jantar" (dinner.)

Its on the Ribeira area which is a center of attraction area very touristy but a few steps up a tiny alley so not easy to spot at first glance. In fact its hidden right... More

I read about this restaurant in Rick Steeve's Portugal. We had a wonderful lunch starting with the coperta of octopus salad and croquettes of cod, then we had a seafood salad which consisted of steamed clams, mussels, octopus and scampis on a bed of lettuce tomatoes and shredded carrots. It was great. We then shared the baked octopus. so tender... More

Nice little spot very near the river with excellent food and friendly service. Very busy so better get reservations or a long wait. Prices about right. Good local wine selection. Everything fresh from the morning market each day.

But the seafood was great and so is the vegetable soup.My wife had the seafood rice and I had the grilled octopuss with boiled potato and green beans. For desert we had lime pie. It was great. All in all, it was a great meal and... More

This place has a real local, mom and pop vibe. Food was traditional and delicious - octopus, caldo verde, meat and potatoes. Just what we wanted for our last meal in Portugal. The waiter was entertaining and we enjoyed the shot of unidentified liquor at the end of the meal! Go early because the place is small and seems to... More

This was our first meal in Portugal. Octopus was great. veal was tender and flavorful. Salads well seasoned. Rice 3 types all very tasty. I had expected prices to be a bit lower in Portugal. Restaurant was full shortly after we arrived for lunch. Food is good and the places is frequented by locals as well as tourist. There is... More

Sit outside and enjoy the people watching. Sardines are good, lots of local flavor. Mom and pop kind of place with authentic food.
