Lovely meal in a quaint little restaurant

We chose to sit inside instead of out as it was a bit chilly. The room was odd to say the least. Tiled walls covered in diners graffiti which made it fairly unique. The waiter was attentive and helpful. I had chicken and my husband had rabbit. Both were lovely and plentiful. Would happily visit... read more

Well presented Restaurant on the Ribeira Quay, right by the Douro with views of the bridge. We were there as evening lights came on - lovely experience. My wife had salmon andI tried the garlic steak. Large portions, but the steak was mediocre. Salmon good though. Decent bottle of local Dalva wine for 14 euro. The upstairs loo was a... More

Beware if you have a heart problem as the salt levels in the food will be sure to cause heart attack!! Luckily our hearts okay but after eating few mouthfuls of the specialty octopus needed to consume multiple glasses of beer and water. Even the Portuguese on table next to us struggled and complained. Makes the local salt cod look... More

Staff are eager to get you off the street and into a chair, but service stops there. My wife went to the washroom while I tried to get a waiter's attention. The young girl I hailed asked me if I was ready to order? We didn't even have menus yet and I tried to explain that, but she just drifted... More

This was our first meal in Porto, the restaurant is well decorated, the servers are really kind, and our server can speak French so it was easy for us to communicate. As for the food we ordered a entrée of sausage rolls, it was good at first but then we found that it was too salty. And for the main... More

This restaurant, right on the Douro in Porto, was recommended by our host at our B&B and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by a young waiter who served us fir the evening and made it even better. We had different entrees so he brought half bottles of wine for us. The bill was just over 40 euros for... For 3 we had one onion soup and one novilho al oporto each plus desert and one ottle of quinta do carmo wine for 110. Perhaps a bit more of salt would be good. Tasty food.

Rusttic and tasteful local food, interesting setting (we were sitting inside), central location, very helpful staff. Worth visiting, but do not expect any luxury. Hint : portions are quite big, consider sharing - it's common practice.

Tasteful food, good choice of wines, central location at Ribeira section not far from the river, unusual decoration - yes, there's a live rabbit in a cage. No luxury, service small toilets on 1st floor. Take your time, service is friendly but not very fast, especially at lunch.

Rustic and tasty food. Charming staff. Quite simply it's good. Would come again if we found ourselves in town.
