Good meal

It's a nice small restaurant. We ate arroz do marisco (seafood rice) and it was very good. Reasonable prices.

Our B&B had made us a reservation just up the street but they did not appear to have any inside seating so we canceled and continued looking. When we came upon Ora Viva, both the menu and atmosphere looked great so we grabbed a table as there were only about 8. We were very pleased with our choice. To start... More

We were recommended to try this restaurant by Nuno from 'Portugaltrails' on our recent trip in Portugal. The place was small but had an inviting atmosphere and a welcoming host (when we booked early in the day). I would definitely recommend booking as during the evening he was turning people away...a lot seemed to us to be locals, so that... More

We were reasonably disappointed with our experience. My wife ordered swordfish but received another seemingly cheaper fish in its place; there wasn't a misinterpretation as it was served as "swordfish". My meal was bland. To be fair the guys there were friendly and the wine we had was nice. For the price we paid for two meals and a wine... More

We stayed in a guesthouse next door and so had no problems getting home!! The food is excellent, cataplana with monkfish, grilled dorado etc. They have a very good selection of unusual wines, we chose in the €10-15 range and had some that we had never heard before. The place is small and it is sense to book ahead, staff... More

Authentic cuisine, delightful atmosphere, very enjoyable experience. Wanted a smaller more locally focused venue: not disappointed

Tiny cosy place with a good menu. Slightly cheaper than others. Service is not quick, but food is good and worth the wait.

On the back of de cais (kay), was hadden this little gem. Very Nice people who helped to choose a decent dinner. 3 adults serving a complete dinner for les than 70 euro is very good. Starters for 0,50 Cents incredible. Fresh fish OR meat, it all was tastorganen great.

We stumbled on the restaurant who agreed to keep us a reservation an hour later. The fish menu is very varied and all the food is local and traditional. We decided to ask for recommendations and boy what a feast we had. Cod and the sea food hotpot were excellent The wine was equally as good. Waiters were fun and... More

Typical Portuguese menu, reasonable range of choice. Food was good, although not top-of-the-line. Service was terrific. Guys really work hard. Would go back.
