Good dinner!

Everyhting was very good even though the place was crowdy! It was São João's day! The only thing I didn't really like was that the waiter thought that we wouldn't live some tips and he muttered that to another waiter and even pointed to us! That was very unprofessional and uncomfortable! Customers... read more

In some Portuguese restaurants they have single portions for 1 person and double portions for 2 sharing. In this restaurant 4 of us chose the same dish. When he arrived the waiter explained that he had brought us 1 double and 1 single portion, which he claimed was enough to serve the 4 of us. He was right and we... More

I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone! We ordered the sharing plate of mixed savoury starters and although they arrived warm on the outside they were still frozen on the inside...We sent them back and the second time they had evidently been heated through a little better, but the whole dish was disappointing - you can get better from... I really liked this place a lot. Ambience of a 4 star restaurant with a good budget price, and the food was terrific. I went all out - had soup, then salad, then a grilled pork chop which was enormous and came with rice, potatoes and grilled cabbage. Add dessert and a half bottle of wine. All of it absolutely... This restaurant was recommended by a local and we were not disappointed. We began with a white port aperitif recommended by our waiter who turned out to be the sommelier, which was lovely. We ordered starters to share, some local delicacies that came fried which were OK, a sausage selection which was tasty and unusual and a pepper salad. For... More

For a very flavorful and authentic Portugese meal come here! We started with a mixed salad, caldo verde soup (traditional portugese soup) and then had the pork with pineapple for two as our main (comes with rice, the most delectable potatoes and vegetables). In the end we were so stuffed and only came out spending ~25 Euro (with bread, evoo... More

Great food, terrific service. Lots of really good food for a very reasonable price. Traditional Portuguese cuisine. No outside seating but inside is pleasant and cool. Definitely worth a visit.

The place was recommended to us by a local who had been going to this restaurant since she was in her teenage years, we knew we had to try it. I must say, the service was impeccable and so was the tripa--actually everything we had was amazing. The collective rating you're seeing is therefore no surprise.

In the hotel suggested to try this restaurant. It was a good idea. Huge menu, very attentiv service, and the kitchen! Very good foods, and the waiter was suggesting great wine to the great fish-dishes.
