Great food

Great food, great wine:) We ordered grilled salmon and pepper steak, it was delicious! The prices are reasonable.

Along with the great food quality and options, one of my favorite aspects of Abadia is that it's a big restaurant but, due to the distribution of tables and spaces, it never looks like you're eating alongside dozens of other people. It is, therefore, easy to get a table even if you need to wait for a few minutes.

A long time ago this restaurant was an icon in Porto. Now it's a very big restaurant with acceptable portuguese food. Try the bacalhau (dry codfish), the cabrito (very young goat), the esparregado (creamed spinach), you'll be very well served but ... there's much better around.

Abadia has two floors and is in a street off the main Rua de Passos Manuel. It was a short walk from the Sao Bento station area of Porto. We enjoyed our first meal so much that we ate there five times out of the ten nights in Porto. The "shrimp" starter was great: ten large Tiger style prawns cooked... More

if you like rabbit, goat, stuff like that, the place is excellent. not very atmospheric, and a bit dated in decor, but the staff are very nice, professional and genuinely friendly. rock-solid quality I would say, on the basis of a couple of visits. and reasonable prices.

Good food, good service, good prices. A little bit crowded and noisy but if you are looking for a good and not necessarily very romantic dinner - very good choice. Very good value for money. I recommend.

This is not our first trip to Portugal, and we've seen a lot of great and less great places. This one offers very good value: good quality food, quite tasty, large portions! The menu is made of traditional Portuguese meals, cooked in the traditional "family" way, not exactly "fine cuisine". A lot of meals are cooked with a lot of... More

I tried the local speciality "tripas" and it was very nice. It could have been a total bomb (it is a mix of pork sausages, ham, guts...) but it was really nice to try and very easy to digest later. Not very expensive either and very good service

The food here is Amazing!! You, of course, have to eat their cod fish dishes. They are cooked the same way they cooked them many years ago. This is a place the local goes to as well as tourists, like us. Because the food is great, and it's not too expensive. Great value. Highly highly recommend as a first stop... More

Excellent food, Tripas, Polvo, Cabrito, these are the names of the dishes you have to order ( Tripas is a delicatie , but don't ask what it is until you eat them, Polvo is Grilled octopus and Cabrito is a roasted little goat ). Chose a nice wine , these dishes deserve it! Highly Recommend this Experience !
