Felt like a had been to Mitchelin starred restaurant without paying the price. Cannot recommend this enough.

Menu is available in English, Spanish and other languages. Friendly staff and a lot of space. The main dishes were ok, but the dessert for me was really delicious. I had the Chocolat Cake. This last one is certainly a recommendation!

Abadia was recommended by a colleague who lives near Porto, and who am I to argue against local knowledge? Joao was spot-on - everything about Abadia was superb and as far as I could tell, the majority of the clientele were speaking in Portuguese, though I'm sure I wasn't the only tourist there. The ambiance in the place is terrific,... More

The food was amazing. Portions are large so share. Our server automatically ordered the right amount of food. The service was simply one of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Thanks Pedro!

We had a wonderful meal here, our first night in Porto. Our waiter, Marco, was patient, knowledgable about food and the country's history. Memorable evening. Jiao was quite helpful with history of Portuguese language.

The service might be the best thing about this place, even though the food is not bad, it has been better. This used to be a reference in downtown Oporto, but it has "industrialized" it's kitchen in past few years, which is a shame, but still, it should be pleasing to most visitors, particularly tourists.

We arrived today and after consulting both Rick Steve's and TripAdvisor, this was our pick for dinner (and first meal in Portugal) Reading the menu made our mouth water. The servers were very helpful in explaining their portions are huge and would advise us on how to best scale down all our choices so we could enjoy the food. And... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our local guide and we had dinner there on 13th August 2014. The restaurant is not easy to find and the location is not very appealing but the interior is charming with beautiful tiling. Our meal was very good - steak cooked at the table. However, the portion sizes are very large and... More

A warm welcome was appreciated and we were seated quickly. Menu offered along with some specials. We made our choices and, whilst waiting for our orders, we observed the Staff working. It has to be said that they displayed a level of service I had almost forgotten. Congratulations to the Manager and all his staff! The food was of good... More

We arrived via GPS and found a parking space in front with the assistance of a "local". The greeting was warm, the head waiter was attentive and our waiter was great. The ambiance was great. The Duoro wine was great.
