We came across this restaurant as we were walking around the town. Menu looked good so we tried it. Attentive service in a good atmosphere, we could have been seated outside in the Plaza but it was empty when we were there at 7.30, but almost full by 8.30pm. Food was good, main dishes around 8-10 euro and add a... More

Just right in the center. Don´t miss it. Try an "alheira de caça" and the red "vinho verde". You´ll enjoy it as much as we did.

We came to Santiago after a tip from the Hotel and were very pleased to see that our expectation was exceeded. Delicious food with a conversation of the side table about old tradition. Lovely!

After arriving in Guimaraes we had a look at a couple of different restaurants in the main square before settling on this one. We had a great meal - pork and steak. The helpings were generous and the food was delicious - always a bit sceptical about eating in places off touristy squares but we found this to be great... More

This is a busy, touristy restaurant on street lined with similar places... but it serves a decent meal at reasonable prices. Has house wine under own label that is quite drinkable. Enjoyed our meal here. Waiter was friendly and spoke English very well. Credit cards are accepted here. Our dinner for 2 came to 40 euros.

We had very tasty food and -contrary to other reports- were really pleased with the service. We really recommend this place.

Out of loads of places in the square, we found this place and tried the €15 all-in deal - what a bargin! Next day, had another great meal.

We looked around at what felt like a thousand restaurants in the historic center of Guimaraes and finally settled on this one. We ate on the plaza and enjoyed the weather and people-watching. The waiter was very helpful. The only downside, as all over Europe, is the constant exposure to cigarette smoke if you want to eat outside.

We arrived to Guimaraes and went to eat. So we found the main square in the town and we finally decided for this restaurant as it seems nice. We ate outside, at the terrace, with the beautiful view of the square and the wonderful sun that shined at that moment. The waiter, kindly, brought us a sunshade. We ate as... More
