Perfect location, lovely food

We ate here on a sunny lunchtime in March. The location in one of the historic squares is difficult to beat, our waiter was really friendly and helpful, and the food and wine really good. Would definitely return.

We went end of Nov for lunch day of festival, in fact we were lucky to get table. Sat outside in square, watching the world go by. Food & service was excellent, I had local sea food & hubby had sardines. Could not fault it at all. Really enjoyed having the local Santiago vino verde & found prices very reasonable.

Well located in the historical center, it a tourist restaurant. However, the food was quite good, served quickly and the potions were at the right size. Service was good and prompt. Prices were reasonable, if one skips dessert.

Family I was visiting took me out to see the sights of Guimaraes at night, had been raining, not a soul in the streets Within the old city, charming area, and this restaurant had a few tables of clients, 90% of them tourists, all the other restaurants were empty. Mediocre food, same for service I watched the chef in the... More

We stayed one night in Guimares and the restaurant was recommended by the hotel. The steaks we had (chicken and beef) were good. The chips and the rice were not so warm when it arrived at the table. But still okay.

The thing about this restaurant is the location. The summer terrace overlooks the nicest areas of the historic area. The service is weak. One of the staff spent the entire time that I was there in conversation with acquaintances who were one of the tables. In a full house night does not seem to be a good example and everything... We came across this restaurant as we were walking around the town. Menu looked good so we tried it. Attentive service in a good atmosphere, we could have been seated outside in the Plaza but it was empty when we were there at 7.30, but almost full by 8.30pm. Food was good, main dishes around 8-10 euro and add a... More

Just right in the center. Don´t miss it. Try an "alheira de caça" and the red "vinho verde". You´ll enjoy it as much as we did.

We came to Santiago after a tip from the Hotel and were very pleased to see that our expectation was exceeded. Delicious food with a conversation of the side table about old tradition. Lovely!
