Great atmosphere

Despite having been modernised, it maintains an early 20th-century look. Staff is nice, lots of pastries to choose from, and a great spot to watch life go by. Weather allowing, do sit outside. I have been to this coffee shop on two different occasions, a year apart. The coffee quality has deteriorated compared to the first visit. My husband is a fundi on the subject and he was disappointed. I ordered hot chocolate and although I do like this drink luxuriously thick, it was pudding which could barely be stirred! The pastries are... More

The specialty here is a cafe de saco, a special filtered coffee. Have it with a nata pastry - originally from Lisbon, but popular in Braga, too!

Really a nice place to have a "curto" portuguese way of calling the espresso ....italian style....short.... the place is near the mian square of Braga int he historical Street. The atmosphere is good and you have a side view of the square, nice small french tables outside make the place like an old french bistrot

It seems popular among the people in Braga and there were so many of pastries to choose from. Taste was OK and price is great too. Only the service could be warmer. Our second waiter who can speak a little English was very nice! The first waitress whom I approached look at me and didnt bother to say anything before... More

Old world cafe around since 1907. Serving up lite bites & good cafe fair. Nice ambiance sits on square in an affluent town. Stop by for a drink & watch the world go by!

Beautifully located in a heritage building. Light, airy and well appointed. The coffee is sensational particularly if you like it on the strong side. The coffee I had here was easily the best I've had thus far in Portugal including Lisbon. Ditto the Portuguese tart which was gorgeous. This excellent place easily accommodated our rolling party of 12. There were... More

We hand lunch outside on a day-trio from Porto. Service was a bit slow and the food was average. The place itself is very nice and well-located. It attracts a lot of locals (families of all generations squeezing around the tables inside).

Good good coffee - and no UHT but real milk in my Pingo, a shot of espresso with a dash of milk (aka machiatto) in a plave where the shoe shine man comes around so please do not wear your Nikes if you want the whole experience. Ambience par excellence. Tables ofglass and brass with the cafe insignia on it.... More
