We chose this restaurant, because it was close to our hotel, but we didn't regret it. The staff were very nice, and we got a table outside. We decided to have the set menu, as it was a good deal, with starters, main & dessert. The food was lovely, and so it was the price we paid!

It was an excellent night we had at that restaurant. Good wine and savory dishes. Best we had was "roupa velha". Also very good the meat skew and the fish-espada with shrimp sauce. From the dessert we enjoyed most the maracuja pudding. Very attentive staff, especially Stefan. Highly recommended for a calm, relaxing night.

Friendly lunchtime service, local specialities. We had the tourist menu which at 11.5€ was a bargain. Not sure about banana and fish, but we had to try the local special! Reasonably priced wine list as well. Give it a try.

having passed this restaurant many times during several trips to Madeira, I am so pleased that I stopped this time and went inside for a meal. The staff was very welcoming, got a nice table even as a "single" guest. First evening I had a chicken with lemon sause together ith sweet potatoes made with honey, which had a fantastic... More

We went there three times to eat local dishes and each time was worth the visit. Great welcome, very friendly staff, excellent service in a nice atmosphere and delicious food. You can not fault this restaurant, even the cheap touristic menu is fantastic. The best value you can have for your money. Highly recommended.

Great food and excellent service. They also will pick you up from your hotel. This hidden gem should be high on the list for visitors to Funchal. Complimentary drink on arrival. 3 course a la carte meal for around 20 euros per head excluding drinks.

We always ask for the "tourist menu" in Funchal because it gives a good quick meal. The menu at this restaurant has a wide choice (6 main courses, 3 starters and 3 desserts) we were given a complimentary drink to start the meal. Excellent service and very good food freshly cooked. All this for only €11.50 a head. There is... More

My wife, and I visited this restaurant, whilst on holiday in Madeira. It is a bit off the beaten track being on a street above the bars and shops at the Lido, but well worth finding. On our first visit, we went twice, we chose the set menu, which was 3 courses plus coffee for £10 - £11 each. We... More
