Great little bar cafe.........well worth a visit.

Stopped off at this lovely bar on a walk round beautiful Funchal. Superb location with great sea/harbour views and although we only had a couple of beers, the staff were very friendly and the costs surprisingly reasonable. Great stop off point before or after a walk round the nearby Old Town area.

Good coffee, friendly though a bit forgetful staff - meant to come back, but it was so crowded we gave up. Next visit to Madeira we will give it a shot again :)

A nice place to sit and have a drink in the sun away from the Madding Crowd over looking the Ocean. You may even see a cruise liner leaving Funchal Harbour! We found the staff very friendly and extremely efficient given most of the time there was only one member of staff serving all the tables!! For me it was... More

This is one of our favourite spots to sit in the sun with a drink, looking over the sea. It is located past the fort with tables opposite the bar looking over the water. It's a quiet spot but the bar is often busy. It's a real sun trap and we had a leisurely drink there most mornings. Lovely

Mark Linklater 8-14 February 2015 for coffee & more. Stunning views from this wonderful bar/cafe, visited every morning for espresso, very good it was too! It is the tables outside that make this place and also the friendly staff. Not the quickest of service but so what, not in a rush. Stopped for lunch one day, menu of sandwiches, toasties,... More

we walked up the hill from the fort, looking for somewhere for a reasonably priced lunch, and spotted a few tables placed on a terrace overlooking the beach. People were eating and drinking, so we sat down and enjoyed the views. We ordered beer and the steak Prego sandwich, on the local bolo a Caco garlic bread. Delicious! And very... More

We only had a drink and toasted sandwich, but it is worth the visit for the view. A tiny bar serves several tables right on the edge of the sea cliff. Service not fast, but when you are soaking up the sunshine and resting after the walk up through the arty Santa Maria area you don't mind waiting a couple... More

Lovely view! Drinks are ok. Service fine, but food is not ok. We had Cesar salad: the chocked was not eatable. The dressing/sauce was not close to being a Cesar salad sauce. I would not order the dish again.
