A more casual offering than The Forte, this was our second visit to Mozart & it was still absolutely lovely. We did the 37 euro deal & had sparkling wine with a lovely little amouse bouche of juicy prawn in a tomato & basil chutney followed by our chosen dishes from the a la carte menu. Stand out dishes included... More

We had a terrific meal (quality, service, atmosphere) at Mozart's "sister" restaurant Do Forte in Funchal. The formula: fixed price of €39 for a 3-course meal, free choice from the à la carte menu, free wine at every course, coffee plus a glass of Madeira wine. This restaurant Mozart from the same owner offered the same formula, albeit at €37.... More

We have been coming to Madeira at least once a year for ten years. We have avoided Cafe Mozart because of the guy in a wig and breeches. BUT Simon was just one of the elements that made for a brilliant evening. We booked just after lunch and got the last table for the evening. Thursdays is Chef's night with... More

We had a 3 course menu with my wife. Even without reservation we were quickly seated. The menu is a good choice at this restaurant. It includes 3 courses, free flow of drinks, good wines and a coffee. AMBIENT: I'm just asking myself why Mozart on Madeira especially as this has nothing to do with Austrian cuisine. It definitely stands... More

Not your regular dress for restaurant staff in Funchal, they were generally pleasant, but lacked a little on the personal touch. Food was well presented, but not the best we have had this week. We opted for the €37 menu, with free wine, but I must say the red wasn't good.

Being shown to our table by a South African dressed up a Mr W. A. Mozart is an unusual start to the evening and then having Mozart blasting out of the speakers for the whole evening can be a little boring after a while. But, Mr Mozart was very helpful and once again a set price of e37 gets you... More

Very good food and pleasant waiters. The food is really different than in other restaurants on Madeira and the price is very reasonable if you take the special promotion they do. For then you have a choice from the starters, main courses and desserts. And the drinks, water and white and red wine are included. Really nice place to have... More

This restaurant is well worth a visit and worthy of it's ranking on here. We visited twice during out week's holiday as we had such a good experience the first time. We had the fixed price menu including matching wines. Very good value for money and your sine glasses even get topped up if you're empty before the end of... More

Go there every year. Never fails to impress. Great staff and service. There is a sister restaurant called the Fort which is owned by same company. Just as good and nice views over the Atlantic Ocean. They both do a set price meal with wine included. You choose any starter/ then main course and dessert all inclusive.
