We enjoyed our visit very much. We both had a set meal and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were very hardworking, attentive and friendly. Lots of lovely fresh vegetables and home made desserts. The fresh pineapple was cut to perfection too! Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

Lovely bright interior design & good service & food. The decor is very 'hard' so that there is a lot of reflected noise. There is not a lot of space & few tables for 2; we would have preferred to be separate/detached from our 'neighbours'

This small-24 covers restaurant-is a favourite of those who know Madiera. Quietly and efficiently run for many years by InesTeixeira and Leno Camacho they welcome back as friends the many returning regulars. It is wise to book this so easily missed insignificant, modern restaurant. You will not be disappointed. On Sundays there are the British Sunday roasts- a tradition started by the... More

Discovered the most wonderful dining experience on our latest trip to Funchal. Fantastic food and wonderful service. Went to Extonel 3 nights on our latest trip to Funchal. Would certainly recommend this dining experience as one of the best in Funchal. Look forward to returning in September 2014. xxxxx

This anonymous little restaurant in a parade of shops could easily be missed and if you pass by when it's not open you could be forgiven for mistaking it for some sort of waiting room. Its corridor like character means that if you are a couple there's a 50% chance you'll find your self close enough to your neighbours to... More

This could be the undiscovered gem for anyone travelling to Madeira for the first time. The restaurant stands by its reputation- and rightly so. Notwithstanding this is possibly the smallest gourmet establishment on the island... it does not even have a name above its entrance... this exceedingly fine dining venue goes from strength to strength. Importantly, an advance booking is... More

We enjoyed several meals here it was close to the hotel, the staff were very polite and of course the food was excellent. I would recommend everyone to try this restaurant.

Very good roast beef but far too many vegetables and vegetables to eat. My husband had calves livers which were still pink inside which is just how he likes them. The trifle was a bit odd - just tinned fruit, sponge and custard really.

Highly recommended by friends who return yearly. However we found it to be average in relation to the quality of the food. The service was excellent and presentation good. The fish and chips were really good. Most disappointing was the sweets. The trifle was like something you might get in an old peoples home.
