Meal very average. Had much better in Funchal and at a better price. Evening was capped off by the waitress saying that their card machine wasn't working. "Bit late to tell me now". I paid the €60 in cash and won't bother finding them again. Peter & Heather

We sat inside very quiet as early evening. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Great service we would go back and definitely recommend.

Not an easy place to find as not on the front of the old town area but venture one street back and you will find this restaurant. It is well worth a visit if warm you can sit outside or otherwise the inside is very nice and cosy. The menu is different to other restaurants and well cooked.

Had a lovely meal and evening at this excellent old town restaurant. The food was fabulous, really seemed like excellent Madeiran home cooking . Lovely staff and service and very reasonably priced too.

You know the feeling ,first night on holiday where to eat? We picked this restaurant at random out of many on this street . Food was good ,lots on the plate . Evening was spoiled a bit by 'mickey Pearce ' lookalike guy scrounging cigarettes and trying to hard to be everyones best mate when all you want to do... More

Delicious traditional food, simple and cooked fresh. To start, a homemade soup for my wife and a prawn and mango salad for me, both tasty. For mains we went for the two person beef dish with sweet potato, maize chips and potato...mmm...very nice. Service was excellent and we got some extra snacks brought round while we waited, a lovely touch.... More

Lovely authentic restaurant situated in the old town. Staff friendly and welcoming. We spotted this place earlier and booked ahead. Just as well as the restaurant was buzzing. The food was delicious , portions are quite large! The relaxed atmosphere made for a lovely evening. Would definately recommend this. We also had drinks outside one afternoon, with no pressure to... We came across this restaurant one afternoon, and chatted to the friendly girl in national costume outside. She showed us the menu, and we decided to return that evening. After deliberating the menu, I settled on Chicken in Wine and Garlic, and my husband chose lamb chops. We asked for a nice white wine, which, when we got the bill,... More
