What a beautiful restaurant. We visited here as I was on this very site whilst on holiday last week. I'm so glad I followed the advice. The starters were fresh and even the chillies in the sauce were growing in the soil next to our table on the terrace. My vegetarian meal was out of this world. Very fresh and... More

On arrival we were shown to a table and then left, no menu or no waiter for at least 15 mins. We eventually found our own menus, when the waiter eventually came back to us (after seeing us get our own menus) he was very abrupt, verging on rude. At this stage we weren't feeling very impressed. When the food... More

I, and my partner, visited this restaurant twice during our two week stay in Funchal. Our first visit was due to the fact that the restaurant was featured in our travel guide, while the second visit was due to the excellent food, and very friendly staff, which we encountered on our first occasion. The food is very tasty and the... More

Typical curries, which were tasty enough. Watch out for the dips with the poppadums; one was extremely spicy (for me). Staff pleasant and friendly.

We were so impressed with the quality of the food and the excellent attentive service we went again and it was just as good. I have had Indian food in a number of places in the world and this was much different to the UK and seemed much more authentic. They also make there own desserts which you rarely get... More

We just love a good Indian! But it's not happening here. Being a lover of the spices we were really looking forward to this but can't say we really enjoyed it that much. Don't get me wrong, but it wasn't just there. Lovely restaurant inside & out but the service was poor ! Not enough staff ( only 2 )... More

Highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was full of flavour and the meat lovely & tender. If you love spinach try a 'Palak' dish with your choice of meat, although lamb was fab. All clearly cooked from fresh and so we cleared the plates ! Delicious

Went on the off chance to try out and weren't disappointed. We had two very nice meals and the outside eating area was lovely. Prices seemed very reasonable and the staff very friendly. Would be very happy to go again.

We decided to try this as it was right near our hotel and we had a long day our touring the east island. And we were not disappointed. I had chicken tikki marsala and my husband had chicken korma with garlic mann and saffron rice. We asked for mild and it came out perfectly for us. Would recommend this restaurant-we... More
