The food and wine here is excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff are brilliant and very helpful.

Have been here a few times this holiday, just gets better. had a fantastic swordfish "cataplana" which is a fish & seafood stew with potatoes & garlic. Found a great bottle in the wine shop, a Quinta da Leda 2005 for which they only charge a small fee to drink in the restaurant. Staff & service still great.

Just across the road from the Melia hotel is the PVP Restaurant where the food is delicious and the service excellent. Both the sword fish (served in a metal pot with mussels and prawns) and the tuna were tasty and beautifully cooked. The staff were welcoming and especially the waitress, Carla, who was very friendly and efficient. We returned for... More

Had lunch at this establishment after a couple of years, very pleased, excellent value for the money compared to some, 2 small Coral cost about 5 euro in the city, her we had 4 for 5 euro and 20. cents. The mains were excellent value and also the sweets, all cheaper than the city. So considering the amount we had... More

Food was well prepared and tasted good, was let down by staff. When asked for balsamic to go with bread and oil had yo be asked twice. Got orders wrong. Then tried to give to another table.

When we stayed in Madeira two years ago I rated this our worst meal but, as it seemed so popular this time, we gave it another try and were not disappointed. Had the steak which was delicious and a passion fruit panna cotta for dessert, this was huge but also delicious. Meal was so good we returned again a couple... More

All I can say about this restaurant is that the food is excellent as is the service! Just across the road from the Melia Madeira Mare hotel, and always busy which speaks for itself. Staff cant do enough for you and so friendly. We visited on more than one occasion, just loved it! Try the prawn starter, delicious, as was... More

My wife does not eat meat, but will have fish, so 2 nights she had red snapper, I will eat most things, the food here is good & has proper chips, Madeira generally does not really cater for veggies.

And even the staff have not changed. OK, we enjoyed great service, wonderful food and wine at 13E per bottle. On a fairly busy road is the only down side but you are sitting away from it.
