The visit on this restaurant was a small adventure. The food was nice and we got it within a few minutes but after service it was impossibel to get in contact with any waiter. We did not get any possibility to order dessert or something more to drink and the funniest thing, we did not get the check. So 40... More

Liked look of the resturant and it was busy. Carpaccio and garlic bread was lovely fish very well cooked big disappointment was cold veg and undercooked potatoes which spoilt meal. Also felt very rushed kept being hassled to order and drinks took ages to come. sadly our poorest dining experience of the holiday.

This place has become one of our favourites for both a drink and food. We love to share food and the staff think this is great. All the staff make you feel welcome, Carla goes out of her way to engage with everyone, even when not working and heading home, she has time to talk. Fish is very special, the... More

Have been here a few times this holiday, just gets better. had a fantastic swordfish "cataplana" which is a fish & seafood stew with potatoes & garlic. Found a great bottle in the wine shop, a Quinta da Leda 2005 for which they only charge a small fee to drink in the restaurant. Staff & service still great.

Just across the road from the Melia hotel is the PVP Restaurant where the food is delicious and the service excellent. Both the sword fish (served in a metal pot with mussels and prawns) and the tuna were tasty and beautifully cooked. The staff were welcoming and especially the waitress, Carla, who was very friendly and efficient. We returned for... More

Had lunch at this establishment after a couple of years, very pleased, excellent value for the money compared to some, 2 small Coral cost about 5 euro in the city, her we had 4 for 5 euro and 20. cents. The mains were excellent value and also the sweets, all cheaper than the city. So considering the amount we had... More

Food was well prepared and tasted good, was let down by staff. When asked for balsamic to go with bread and oil had yo be asked twice. Got orders wrong. Then tried to give to another table.

When we stayed in Madeira two years ago I rated this our worst meal but, as it seemed so popular this time, we gave it another try and were not disappointed. Had the steak which was delicious and a passion fruit panna cotta for dessert, this was huge but also delicious. Meal was so good we returned again a couple... More
