Amazing selection of teas

Found this quant tea shop when walking around, but struggled to find it at lunch time. Did find it & there was an excellent selection of teas (Most loose teas & put into bags in the pot. If you like different teas try here. Food OK Prices reasonable

We visit here every year when in Funchal and the usual high standards of drinks and cakes was maintained. This year there was an expanded of light hot dishes at lunchtime. The fish was excellent. Highly recommended.

A chance finding when wandering around Funchal and needed some lunch. Situated on a large square with the Museum of Antiquities on one side(currently closed) A really peaceful interlude with a huge range of teas or even a coffee if you want. A tropical crepe with chicken and cheese and pineapple was delicious with a very good salad.(€6) Well we... More

We sat under the umbrealla's (it was a showery day) and watched the world go by whilst enjoying delicious tea and cake. A huge variety of tea's to choose from. You can order combinations from the extensive menu or choose individual options.

We happened upon this cafe in a quiet square and enjoyed relaxing outside with coffee, cake or a beer. It is an enchanting place and very clean. The limited lunch menu looked really good but we were never there at our lunch time. Quite a find

We loved the Tea House. The teas and the cakes were great. We had the 'teatail' (their version of an afternoon tea) and the cake of the day (a lovely orange sponge). We sat outside and enjoyed the car free square. However, would have been happy to sit inside upstairs if the weather had been worse.

The tea house is on one of the most interesting squares in Funchal Some inside seats but sitting out is best. We went a couple of times during our week's holiday, craving a good cup of tea The choice of teas and iced teas is wide, and the food was good- salads, sandwiches and cakes. The shop sells loose tea... More

Small tea house with an outside seating area. Massive choice of tea but the coffee is excellent as well. Located in a quiet square on the far end of the new town before you reach the old town this was recommended by our holiday rep. Good price, good sized portions and no pressure from the staff to order, eat up... More

We had lunch here - tuna salad with chunks of tuna that were really overcooked and my partner had a tropical crepe that had chicken and he said that was very overcooked too. Other than that, they tasted fine. The service was friendly but very slow. They charged us for the butter on our bread!
