Found this place towards the end of our holiday and went back on a number of occasions. Exceptionally clean, good position, pleasant service and good value. Scones and cakes delicious.

I just love to go there at tea time! The variety of teas and infusions is the richest in Madeira.Whether it's winter time or not, it is just the perfect place to sit and have tea with your friends, while pretending there's no world outside those walls...just the wonderful smell (and taste) of tea and a slice of heaven...

Such an array of teas! This is their speciality and there definitely was a very good choice plus assorted coffees and other drinks. They offer a fairly small range of lunch options but everything appeared good quality and very fresh. There is also a tempting selection of homemade cakes etc - my husband pronounced that their apple tart was probably... More

Well what a find. This cafe is superb with a great varied menu. The choice of teas is astounding and I had the English breakfast tea which was the best cup of tea I had had in a long time. The waitress was so pleasant and very helpful and spoke very good English. Very cheap also 2 teas a and... More

We had been told about the Tea House so decided to visit and we are so pleased we did. We sat outside in the square. The tea room is quite small but the huge selection of teas is wonderful and unusual. The cakes are really good and must be tried. The staff are so friendly and helpful and gave good... More

This cafe is perfectly situated in town and we've been in twice now. The staff are so friendly, they are always smiling and the whole atmosphere is contagious as a result of the staff. It is a small, perfectly formed two storey tea room with interesting tea parafanalia to purchase and of course wonderful tea to drink. The menu is... More

Stopped here for lunch and a drink after a walk in Funchal. Such a lovely, small cafe with an intimate feeling. Fantastic speciality tea and salads as well as a range of things to buy, such as mugs and dried tea in many flavours! Great cafe!

Excellent pots of tea accompanied by moist orange cake, sitting outside in a quiet square. We were lucky to get the last table outside. Very relaxing and tasty, good value and makes a change from coffee.

We stopped for a pot of Earl Grey plus scones, following a walk around Funchal and were most impressed. The service was brilliant and most friendly. What a lovely place and an excellent 'pit stop' whilst visiting Funchal. Worth finding, then sit back, relax and enjoy the service.

This little tea house in the Yellow Square near the Cathedral is astonishing in the quality of teas and snacks that it provides. The waitress informed me they do 120 different varieties of tea - who am I to argue but I would have thought they have more than that. The "Speciality Of The Day" on one of our visits... More
