Great cuppa

I would recommend this tea shop to all lovers of good tea. The selection of teas is extensive and the service friendly. Our drinks came with instructions on how long ee should leave the tea to brew. The setting is relaxing and pleasant.

Despite a light drizzle on our last day, the outside seating of this place was full. The variety of tea on offer was excellent, the cake tasty and the service friendly, knowledgeable and quick. You can have a small pot (1.5 cups) or a large pot (2.5 cups). Two happy customers!

This little tea house is a real gem. Tea and hot scone with jam is a must at 11.30 a.m. everyday. Would not miss coming here. Great place to sit people watching.

We stopped for lunch after having read the reviews on Trip Advisor. My wife had the chicken salad, which was inedible. The "chicken" was compressed parts and was incredibly salty. The service was slow. Other than that, the tea and beer were fine!

I think ought it was about time I reviewed this tea house as we always visit here when we are in Madeira. The place is always busy and we have on occasions had to sit upstairs near the toilets (very clean by the way). The cafe has tea paraphernalia for sale and a limited menu but for a light meal... we went to this place twice, the first time for tea and cake on a Sunday. The service was a bit slow but the tea and the scones with passion fruit/lemon curd were delicious. We returned for lunch a few days later when the service was notably better with attentive and efficient staff. On this occasion we had avocado salad... More

Great little teahouse near to the Cathedral. Superb value (especially for people used to the prices charged by similar venues in the UK). All of the different varieties of tea were charged at one euro seventy, but as it was only an extra ninety cents for a scone and jam as well, it's almost rude not to. We made several... More

Very nice tearoom, located on a nice square. Ample seating outside. Good varied menu. Good coffee sold as well as tea. Worth a visit.

This is a friendly and intimate oasis which is located on one side of a practically traffic free square with additional seating provided in a charming first floor room, in the unlikely event that you don't want to be outside. We heartily recommend the apple cake and the apple pie, which were some of the best we've had the pleasure... More

I recommend this place for a breakfast or a light lunch. Very good food with style and quality. Very well located you could be inside (house completely refurbished and confortable) or outside in the terrace getting the sun!!!
