Nice change from the usual fish!

This is the smaller of the two pizza places and nearer to the fort. Excellent pizza which made a nice change from the usual fish offered around the old town.

We had a dinner eating pizzas, which were very delicious indeed. the waiter recommended us an excellent red wine which really crowded the meal. the service was friendly and quick. we have now been four days in Madeira and this has been the best experience so far.

Have frequented this place so many times during our visits that we had become regulars. Definitely, the best Pizza I have tasted on any of our travels.

On a stay in Funchal recently, we stopped off here for some lunch. Another great find. A half portion of Lasagna Verde and a small beer for jusy €4.90. It was so good that went back just to check that it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't so, on our next stay in town we are going to go back in... More

We ate twice in a week - first pizza was fab, second had a bit too much topping so was a bit soggy but as it was fresh it wasn't hard to finish! It's a good recommendation when the local police eat there en masse!

A very popular restaurant so book in advance or get there early. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is incredible as there is normally live music in the square. I recommend the steak on a slab, it was my favourite meal of the holiday. They have a great range of pizzas and the staff are very friendly!

Very busy restaurant, and probably the best situated in the Old Town, next to a fantastic African TulipTree (Spathodea campanulata). Food was excellent and I would recommend the Cannelloni Xarambina. The staff were fantastic and unfailingly pleasant, though I have no idea how they manage to serve so many people so quickly, with so little fuss. Wonderful!

We ate here three nights during our two week stay in Funchal old town. This place is always busy. The service is great and the prices great. Two course meal for two with bottle of wine under €40.

Definitely a place to forget. I ordered one pizza and came another. I asked for drinks and sauces for my pizza and didn´t came at all. When other table with a foreign couple arrived the waiter stopped giving us attention and everything we asked for did not arrived to us anymore. The quality of pizza is really poor, you eat... More

If you want a quick pizza/pasta dish for not a lot of money then this is the deal place. There was no atmosphere at all when we went in as it was empty but we have eaten here before and knew what to expect. It started to fill up before we left. Food was average but overall excellent value for... More
