Just back from another exceptional meal at this restaurant. Staff really have the X Factor and make you want to come back time and time again. Food consistently delicious. Atmosphere uplifting. Value for money is the unrivalled. Overall, a fantastic experience and we can't wait to go back! Don't miss it!

Happened to be staying nearby and thought we'd try it because it had lookrd busy on a couple of evenings. Good decision. Good food and service. An error was corrected graciously. Even the bloke playing guitar is a cut above. Worth makingsome effort to visit.

The restaurant is just next to our hotel and every time we are coming back in the evening we notice that it's full. So today we tried it and we loved it! The prices are competitive for the island and the menu is really interesting. You can try local stuff, great fish (and as I saw around - meat) food.... More

Unbelievablely recommended by others, food badly presented on cracked and chipped plates. Food not as described I.e beef Wellington was lump of meat on top of soggy Yorkshire, prawns were just warm and covered in greasy breadcrumbs!? However worst of all was the owner/manager, he took 'self-pleasure' in picking middle aged woman to dance in the middle of the restaurant... More

This is a great restaurant - out past the Lido - but they will pick you and deliver you back to your Hotel if you are nearer to Funchal. Bruno and his great team look after you very well. The food is excellent as is the service. What are you waiting for? Go and try!

Was looking for somewhere different to go in area near the regency palace hotel. Saw this restaurant in a leaflet given out at the hotel so thought we would try it. It was a busy place but the staff soon found us a seat inside. I had chicken and my husband had tuna fish both were cooked well. Also when... More

This restaurant is managed by the young owner Bruno. Who is most welcoming to all. The food is good value for money added to which there is always a party atmosphere there and you are sure to have a fun evening.

Bruno treats all customers like his long lost cousins. The food is good but it is the atmosphere that is exceptional! All the staff are brilliant, they switch from one language to another with consummate ease. Just when you think the Real Canoa cannot get any better, it defies expectations. My favourite restaurant anywhere in the world
