This restaurant was recommended to us by a local, meals arrived very quickly, but this was because everything was pre-cooked. Pasta was oily and tasteless, salmon was dry, pizza was too salty. In fact everything was far too salty. Waiter seemed to not want to be there and we were in and out in less than 30 mins. Would not... More

We ate here twice during the holiday. The pasta dishes were delicious and the pizzas huge. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bill was very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.

Was really looking forward to going to this restaurant for our lunch on our first day in Funchal but was slightly disappointed. My hubby had the beef escalope which was quite tough and chewy and my pasta dish was average. Villa Italia in Belfast is far better.

A good Italian restaurant serving delicious thin crispy pizzas with just the right amount of topping and not floating in oil or poor quality cheese. The pastas were also very good & made with fresh ingredients & the pasta was never over cooked. They also do fresh crispy salads. The staff work very well & in a professional manner. Will... More

My partner and I have just returned after a fortnight in Funchal. I had a list of the top 10 restaurants from Trip Advisor but this was closest to our hotel and we called in on the off chance when we were passing one day. The food was very tasty, especially the pasta, and the house wine was very pleasant.... More

We were recommended to this establishment by a local café waiter who said it was a very good Italian, we went along at lunchtime, there was a table of 10 ( regulars by the look of it ) who had been served their drinks & orders taken, the waiter was talking to them & then busied himself at the bar... We have been visiting here for a number of years now. Our ritual on arriving in Funchal has always been to drop our luggage at The Residence, then go to Pingo Doce for our supplies, and on our way back call at Casa to book our usual table for dinner. Our favourite waiter Fabio always greets us every year -... More

Pasta salty. Pizza burnt. Service terrible, we were ignored from sitting down, wouldn't even bring bill when asked. I would recommend avoiding.

My pizza was burned black and was mostly inedible, the bit that I ate was tasteless. My wife had pasta, which was so salty it was like eating seaweed. The service was slow and surely. This is the worst meal I've had in a long time
