This restaurant does exactly what it says on the tin...and excels at it. I didn't try the wines but can heartily recommend the caprihana cocktails. Whilst they are served in small tumblers they pack a lot of rum into these babies. I sampled lime, pineapple and passion fruit caprihanas, and would rate them in that order. There are fish options... It was simply a great experience to have three dinners in 10 days in this wonderful restaurant. The meat was really very good (great quality I mean), and there is a large choice of very good wines. The place in itself is nice and causy and the waiters are simply lovely. All this for a very small bill (about 70€)... More

Found this super restaurant by recommendation & have to say that it did not disappoint. In fact it surpassed all expectations. The ambiance, the cuisine, wine & service all 5stars plus. The staff were so obliging & helpful, could not fault them. Did not book, but is recommended to, I guess we were just lucky to be there at the... More

Something a little different from the rest and reminded me a bit of Goucho's. I really liked this restaurant - all the food was great and the staff pretty efficient. Just try the Pichana, their house speciality... it's really good, and better still, unlimited steak and unlimited sides included in the very reasonable price! The wine list was good too.... More

After a bit of a slow start, waiting a bit too long be served and slightly diatracted waiter... This restaurant came into its own and was spot on. We had some ham and sausage to start and the sliced picanha for mains. The meat was tasty, tender and perfect. We had a lovely bottle of red, only gripe, which seems... More

Went here based on trip advisor reviews, and weren't disappointed - the speciality of the house - sliced picanha - was perfectly cooked, and we were both full after only three 'rounds'. Will go back when we are next in Madeira.

Our family loved this restaurant. We ate there two times and it was really a great experience. Our teenagers's favorites were the iberian pork and Picanha - meatlovers' paradise. The wine list was not a list, but a thick book full of great wines. We trusted on their recommendation and it was really worth of it. You need to have... More

We have visited the restaurant each week of our holidays since October 2012 - 10 visits in 10 weeks. Each time the welcome has been friendly with efficient service and the food excellent. The wine range is very large but we keep to the recommended, inexpensive house wine. Bookin is becoming essential.

Firstly this is a beautiful restaurant - inside tables are well spaced and decorated to a high modern standard. Food is fantastic especially the beef/steak special carved from their skewer. If you are a wine lover this is the place for you I have never seen such an extensive wine list all available by the glass - best array of... More
